Adam DeVine: A couple hot boy beefcakes in need of some hot pieces of “A.” You can put that in the paper right? It’s me and Zac Efron; I play Mike, he plays Dave, and we’re two brothers and we are in need of wedding dates. We’re sort of like wild men who party too much. We’re fun-loving guys, you know? We don’t mean any harm but we might at a family event start a fire or accidentally kill Grandpa. You know, an accident? So our parents are like, you gotta find dates to your sister’s wedding, you’re not gonna ruin this for her. We’ve burned all the bridges with every girl that we’ve met. So, we’re like let’s just make a funny Craigslist ad and post it and see what happens. And we do and it goes viral. The funny part about this is this part’s all a true story. It’s like, based on a true story. These guys Mike and Dave Stangle posted this Craigslist ad and it went viral and they got, like, dozens of dates. There was like thousands of inquiries and they met a bunch of psychopaths and a couple nice girls. These guys think that they met these nice girls but they end up tricking them into thinking they’re nice when in fact they’re crazier than even Mike and Dave. They sort of get to the wedding and the family loves them because they’re pretending that they’re so sweet and everything kind of went south from there.

DN: How was it like working with Zac Efron?

AD: I wanna f--- him. So hot. He’s awesome, he’s like the sweetest guy. He inspired me to get as close as I’ve ever gotten to abs. That’s about as close as I got to it right there (points the “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Date” movie poster behind him). Like yeah, I think there’s sort of an ab there. You notice he’s like covering up his abs, because he’s embarrassed by how in shape he is. Meanwhile I’m like, letting it all hang out. This is as good as it gets for me.

DN: How was it like kissing him on the lips?

AD: It was fun, it happened so quickly that I didn’t have time to relish the moment.

DN: Any wild on-set stories or pranks that might have happened?

AD: Yeah, I’m not much of a prank guy because I scare super easily so if anyone pranks me I might have a heart attack and die. I’m very much a scaredy-cat. But we did a lot of cool stuff. We went swimming with sharks, like not in a cage. We shot in Hawaii and we swam and there was sharks everywhere and like, Zac is touching sharks like a lunatic. I feel like he’s immortal, he’s never gonna die.
