Alright, so I have 2 questions:
1. why did the show only have one season? Was it canceled or was it written this way?
2. how is it possible that they film the show live to the east coast and the west coast has the 3 hours delay, but Harriet said she's working in Hollywood?

This is just bugging me so much

1. The show was cancelled because it's ratings weren't very good.

2. Because of the time zones, the west coast gets the show three hours after the east coast, even though they film it in LA. So, they film it, and it airs live on the east coast at 11 PM (I think? Something like that.) And then, three hours later, it is 11 PM on the west coast, and it airs there. If it aired live on the west coast it would interfere with other programming.

I think I got it... its time slot is 23:30 so they actually film it 20:30 LA time, right?

God, it's such a relief to live in a country with only one time zone

And sucks about the ratings!!! This show is really miraculous, one season is not enough for it

No, they film it at 23:30 east coast time. It is live for the studio audience in LA and for the east coast TV audience. It is actually 20:30 west coast time when they film, but it airs at 23:30 for the west coast, three hours after they film.

You know, now that I think about it, they may have made a continuity mistake with that occasionally and said that they were filming 23:30 west coast time, but there's no way that's possible. So if they did, it would have been in error.

Time zones are so confusing.

I have reading problems apparently. I blame the fact that I haven't been used to telling time on a 24 hour scheme since I got home from Italy and my brain rebelled. Yes, that's it, not that I can't read numbers.

Well, I'm glad Chris was able to sort it out for you, because I would have sucked it up trying to explain it, lol.

And actually, yeah, about the continuity error. Cause I remember Matt telling Harriet in TCO that so help him he would pay her to wave goodnight at 1am, when in fact it would be 11pm LA time, 1am Eastern time. So, yeah, lol. It all depends on what he actually meant. Although, the wrap party makes more sense now, since they would be starting the party earlier. Cause yeah I know parties start at 1am all the time, but who would really wanna stay at them very long after having been at the studio all day and then working til 1am? /rambling-nonsense
