Jordan was very awesome in this episode. I like that she apologized to Wes but didn't disagree that firing him was the only option.
Random, but it's interesting to see Wes now and then think of what we learned about him in the final four episodes. For the amount that we saw him on screen, he was a very complex character. __________________

He was, and really well drawn. Even Sorkin's small characters have complexity. Watching his again, having watched SN and getting into TWW I appreciate even more all the little nuances.

Off-screen, I think Dan Rydel is called Danny most of the time. Sometimes they call him Dan, but more often Danny.

The Cold Open, 1x02 Now that they're on board, Matt and Danny try not to crumble under the pressure of putting on their first big show, where the stakes are outrageously high. Also high are the number of complaints the network is getting over the "Crazy Christians" sketch, which Jordan defends to Jack. __________________

Every time I rewatch this episode I can't believe that I didn't like it the first time I saw it. I don't know why I didn't, but I remember that I didn't, go figure.
Love the press conference. Matt calling Jordan peculiar and all that jazz still makes me laugh. Danny being honest about his drug test is still not what you're expecting to happen. Well, you are and you're not cause you hear Jack chanting what he's supposed to say, and it's like an unwritten rule in television that whatever a character's supposed to say, they will will say something else. Harriet rushing into the writer's meeting and her Matt's convo after. It really was very obvious how not over each other they were and the chances were looking slim to none they ever would be. Matt's little speech at the end of the episode certainly attests to that. Idk, it was a great episode. Smart, funny, and I love the song number at the end. As well as Harriet's prayer for something heavy to fall on Matthew's head. hee. __________________

The press conference is lots of fun. I like how Jordan responds to everything and how Danny is ready to throttle her by the time she's done. I like Jack's comment about how, strangely enough Matt's the only one who did okay. It took me awhile to get on board the M/H ship, but now I'm suprised about that because I really liked them in this episode. I like that they were honest with each other and I liked Matt's little speech at the end when he tried to convince Danny there's no problem. Poor Matty and his introduction to the clock. __________________
