We don't have nearly enough fighting in our fandom.
I don't know that I've ever known anyone to complain about that before. Are we making it boring by agreeing on everything?

Me either, lol. And probably. I guess it kinda leaves little room to further discussion. It's always more fun to debate over things with people who have different POVs/opinions.

I kid, of course. It's quite the relief to have a non-contentious fandom after both the GG and OTH spoiler fandoms.

Good to know. And I bet Lord knows I wouldn't make it through either one of those. But speaking of OTH, anything good in the spoilers these days? No specifics, of course, but what's the horizon looking like? Good, bad, or undetermined?

I'm kind of... broken up with the show. So, I kinda know what's going on cause I have a bunch of friends still involved in the spoiler, but not as much as I would have this summer. Also, this season is a desert of spoilers. It's like Mark really cracked down on them; there's almost nothing that we know about anything. What I know though? Horizon is not looking so good.

Interesting. I figured if you'd hung on this long you'd just keep on, lol. I'm kind of wanting to re-break-up with the show but kind of wanting to stick around because of the discovery of a certain LJ friend watching it. Idk. Until SW comes back it's not messing with my show schedule. I guess we'll just see. I doubt I stick around the whole season anyway. That show knows how to push my buttons far too well

And wow, that's an interesting development. I figured as much *sigh*

It wasn't really about the show, it was the time put into the fandom and the level of emotional involvement. When things went bad on Gilmore Girls, i was really involved and it wasn't very healthy. So, I kinda did a preemptive strike for my sanity.

I have friends who wouldn't agree with me on the prognosis, but that's my take on the limited stuff that we do have.

Ah, I gotcha. That's how GH got for me back in the day. When we let JaSam start ripping the Bandits apart, it was just too much. We all had to step back or risk further ruining our good memories of Banditland.

I gave up hope for BL long ago. I have my S3 DVDs, that's something.

Sometimes you just have to realize it's just a show and there's many more important things in life. I had nightmares about Gilmore Girls. I needed that not to happen again. And, yeah, a show is def not worth ruining friendships over; even ones that were formed because of it. People are more important.

Yeah, IDK, I had hope. Mostly because of the way LP was written compared to how BL was written. I couldn't comprehend LP has endgame. It's hard to keep justifying though.

Oh, wow, yeah I bet. And exactly

I guess I just never figured Schwann had enough sense to realize the better pairing even when he's the one writing it. LP shouldn't be the endgame, I don't think they were ever supposed to be. I hate to say it, but had CMM & SB's marriage not ended in crash and burn, or had they never gotten married at all, we might be discussing a very different show right now. I don't blame Sophia one bit for not wanting to work with him right after the divorce, but it did shape the direction of the show.

Although, the thing that I find the most ironic about all of this, are that my LP friends(save for one fanatic) have generally been more or less indifferent to the pairing once they got together. Now every time they break up, suddenly LP are meant to be again. But when their pairing is actually together, they don't have the same "magic" for them. Basically, they liked LP as a potential couple much better than the actuality.

Yes, I've had to come to terms with that about Mark.

That's one way of putting it. I tend to say "off of his bloody rocker."

Random bit of nonsense: There was a time when we thought that "Gus" from the S6 premiere, who was there for Lucas's dreams and then was at the airport, was a hypnotist. Those were fun days full of random "WTF, Mark? You're REALLY gone out of your tree this time. WTF?"

Um, yes, Harriet was quite an interesting character.
