there is a scene between offred and serena close to the beginning where offred says that 'red's her color' and serena semi smiles... there is this great tension between them and you never quite know which way its going to go... but i loved that it played like it did.

The Mexican Ambassador goes toe to toe with serena and we find out that she wrote a book etc. Yvonne played this allso well.

another great yvonne scene is a flashback, where she is waiting to give a speech and The Commander comes out and tells her they wont hear her. she plays through such a range of emotions so so subtly, it was amazing.

then there is an awesome and somewhat creepy scene between janine and aunt lydia where aunt lydia kisses her eye. but its all quite soulfully and beautifully performed. thats my shoutout to the rest of the cast in this ep

the scene where Serena stands up and speaks, even though its against the rules. amazing... and the kids coming in was in turn one of the most beautiful and most heartbreaking scenes.

and yeah... theres quite the scene between the commander and serena when he comes to her at the end of the night. he says "you're an amazing woman. I forgot" which, argh... i wanted to throw things at him. he is such a jerk... but Serena just softened and this smile creeped across her face... once again, yvonne just being amazing.
