Bale talks about his co-stars in ‘Dark Knight Rises’
Quote:
He raved about Tom Hardy as “a phenomenal actor. I like working with him a great deal. He goes the whole hog. I know that Bane has been seen in movies before. But, in my eyes, Tom is essentially creating Bane for the first time so there’s great freedom for him to be able to do so.”

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy just had their first weekend in theaters but only opened on 4 screens. Here's a list of the upcoming cities that are getting it this month: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy | Find Theatres

Quote:
Also standing out is Tom Hardy as the mystery's lynchpin character, Ricki Tarr, an agent who's seen his name dragged through the mud as a result of what he's seen and what he knows. Hardy's performance is probably the only one in the film that hues ever so closely to the performance of his predecessor in the '79 miniseries. Unfortunately for Hardy, the expanded running time of the BBC version gave Hywel Bennett much more scenery to chew up and yet Hardy's portion of the story is still the most compelling.

Tom Hardy As Al Capone: Star Attached To 'Cicero' Gangster Film
Quote:
Tom Hardy is becoming Hollywood's go-to bad boy.

The rising British star is attached to play legendary Chicago mobster Al Capone in the Warner Bros. gangster trilogy, "Cicero," The Wrap reports. The series is being put together by David Yates, who, as the man who directed the final four "Harry Potter" films, knows how to put together an epic set of movies. The "Potter" flicks were put out by WB, so clearly, he is their golden boy these days.

Should Hardy wrap up the role, it will mark another step for the actor both towards the spotlight and the dark shadows. His breakout came in director Nicolas Winding Refn's 2009 film "Bronson," in which he played "Britain's most famous prisoner," the violent and self-aggrandizing Charles Bronson. Hardy packed on muscle, shaved his head and wore a frightening mustache as he dove deep into the role, earning raves and a ticket to Hollywood.

In 2011, Hardy played a troubled war veteran/anti-hero brawler in the critically acclaimed yet publicly ignored MMA flick "Warrior," pulling a hoodie over his ripped physique and alternating between grumbling and barking his few lines for maximum dramatic effect. He also appears in the British spy intelli-thriller "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy," adding charisma to his dark persona.

The biggest role of his career comes this summer, when he plays the massive hulking psycho villain Bane in the epic Batman finale, "The Dark Knight Rises." He packed on the muscle once again as he prepared to play the one man who, with chemical enhancements, can break the bat.
