Welcome to the 3rd T.J. Thyne Appreciation thread http://www.tumblr.com/photo/1280/763...lkm1F6a1qd7vic (source) Thomas Joseph Thyne; March 7, 1975 Boston, Massachusetts, USA the f a n s: Pey_23 ROCKSTAR Cursed Mind Enigma ~DresdenDoll~ globe2912 LG rocks my socks meatwood hann true colours One Love xlennie bh11000 phyco52 http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lo...bt4to1_500.jpg His b i o g r a p h y Originally from Boston, TJ Thyne grew up doing theater and studying acting throughout the United States and British Columbia. Thyne landed several lead roles at a young age in theater productions around the country, including “The Secret Garden” at the Dallas Theatre Center and the off-Broadway production of “Van Gogh” at New York’s Mint Theater Company. Thyne graduated from the USC School of Theater, where he received his B.F.A. in Acting. Soon thereafter, he landed more than 50 guest star and recurring roles on television series, including “Friends,” “Cold Case,” “Boston Legal,” “Nip/Tuck,” “CSI: NY,” “CSI,” “Huff,” “The O.C.,” 24 and more. In 2001, Thyne founded Theatre Junkies Productions, which produces theater and films in Los Angeles. His most recent project, a feature film called “Shuffle,” was written and directed by award-winning fellow Theatre Junkie Kurt Kuenne and follows the story of a character named “Lovell Milo,” played by Thyne, who begins experiencing his life out of order. The film includes cameos from a few familiar faces from the cast of BONES. Thyne last collaborated with Kuenne on a short film series that included the award-winning internet cult favorite “Validation,” which was shown in festivals around the world and has more than 1.8 million hits on YouTube. Thyne’s feature film credits include the roles of “Stu Lou Who” in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with Jim Carrey, the young lawyer “David Foil” in Steven Soderbergh’s “Erin Brockovich” and “Gerald” in “How High” with Method Man and Redman. He also has appeared in “Something’s Gotta Give,” “What Women Want,” “Edtv,” “Ghost World,” “The Pardon” and “Ball Don’t Lie.” He divides his time between Los Angeles and New York. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ln...kgafo1_500.jpg the r e a s o n s 1. Because we love his gorgeous blue eyes 2. Because he’s a great example of the good guy 3. Because we think uncle TJ is cute and adorable 4. Because he makes squints look hot and sexy http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/4642/anigif11oz.gif the q u o t e s [As kids] we stayed at a hotel which today is the Intercontinental Hotel that was on Avenue of the Stars and it was right up against the Fox lot and my parents would ask for a room in the back so our patio overlooked the Fox lot. Every night I would go out on that patio and stand there for hours and watch people walking back and forth on the Fox lot. I was maybe 12 years old and I kept saying to myself ‘Someday…one day…that will be me.’ And, I kid you not, to this day every time I’m walking between our trailers and Stage 6 I look up and I wave to that hotel. That was that moment where I was like ‘That’s going to be me someday’ and for the last six-plus years it has been. I am blessed for it and I am thankful every day. By the time I was 10, I had converted the closet in my room to my little Hollywood office. I would save up my money and send away for scripts likeThe Untouchables or The Princess Bride and I’d watch the movies with the script in hand and see what choices the actors made. I just knew this was for me. I say fall. Fall hard. Fall in love with whomever that person is, wherever they are — office, grocery store, wherever. It hurts. For sure it hurts not to be loved in return, but it's love, right? It’s worth it. Especially when it works out. In my mind, it is absolutely, unquestionably worth the attempt to just... see. I was in my car driving down Olympic Blvd., running my lines for the next character, when the director called me to say “hey, so you got the part of Dr. Jack Hodgins.” My heart just jumped out of my body. I literally swerved a bit in my car and had to pull over on the side of the road just to take a breath. I was thrilled. I still am. Of all the parts I was testing for, this role was the one I really wanted to play. I think Hart Hanson has a genius way of writing characters and this character Jack has so much going on, so many layers, it’s an actor’s dream role… this actor’s, at least! the T.J. He’s like the hot science teacher from high school or something. – Emily Deschanel T.J. and I, as actors, see the world very similarly on set and off. He's sort of my acting partner, and if I need help with something, he helps me, and vice versa. It's always been that way. I love working with him. He's such a good friend of mine, and it is fun. – Michaela Conlin TJ is the bomb. My man TJ… He’s like this Grateful Dead boy. He’s just all over the place – he’s a hacky sack man. – David Boreanaz |
