Okay so I noticed there wasn't a thread for Summer Glau so I just had to start one! She was born in 1981 and has always had a love for science fiction. So talk about all and anything from her work in Serenity and Firefly. To the 4400. To her newest television show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I've turned down a lot of roles that I feel are not portraying women in a light
that I would like to see. I can't change the way people write and produce. I turn down roles that I feel are not encouraging to young girls. That's just my way of contributing. I'm not a writer. But, I love opportunities like this, to play girls that I think can inspire.

I think science fiction in general was a part of my childhood. I grew up reading C.S. Lewis books all through my childhood, at lunchtime, and at bedtime. I’m also a great fan of the Madeline L’Engle books. I was a big fan, and the one Star Trek show that I watched was Star Trek: The Next Generation. And I watched it religiously. I thought it was amazing. I would sneak into my parent’s bed every night at ten and watch with them while they fell asleep.
