Sophia Myles Appreciation #1: She's the light in the moon.
Welcome to the Sophia Myles Appreciation Thread! Made by Ms_Melika Filmography In Progress: Buddha's Little Finger (2007) (in production) (attached) .... Anna Outlander (2007) (post-production) .... Freya Completed:
Date of Birth 18 March 1980, London, England, UK Height 5' 3½" (1.61 m) Other Information Sophia's name is pronounced "Sofyyaahh" Biography: Sophia Myles, was born March 18, 1980 in England. A few years later her brother, Oliver, was born. Her parents names are Peter and Jane. Her father is vicar, a priest in the Anglican Church who is in charge of a parish and receives a salary but not the tithes of the church. Her mother works in publishing. Sophia lived in Notting Hill until she was 11 , and attended Fox Primary School. Her father was later relocated to Isleworth, a suburb west of London. At 16 Sophia starred in a school production of Teachers written by Kevin Godber. Among those in attendance, Julian Fellowes, the Oscar winning writer of Gosford Park. Sophia was subsequently cast in the BBC production of The Prince & The Pauper. Julian Fellowes worked on the script. Two years after her role in The Prince & The Pauper, Sophia was cast as young Saffron in the TV mini series Big Women. In 1999, after recently enrolling in Cambridge University to study philosophy, she got a small part in Mansfield Park playing Susan. Before heading to school, Sophia was cast as Agnes Fleming in the TV series, Oliver Twist. (The series also starred Keira Knightley.) After which, she dropped out to pursue acting. After that, Sophia got a number of small parts in movies and television shows. Most notably, she was cast as Johnny Depp's wife in From Hell. She also starred in The Life & Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, The Abduction Club, Heartbeat, and Foyle's War; the latter 2 of which are TV series. In 2003, Sophia got a supporting role in Underworld opposite fellow British beauty Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbor). Up next, Sophia was cast in the thriller Out of Bounds as Louise, about an awkward young girl in an English boarding school who falls in love with her American art teacher who is married to the headmistress. Later that same year, Sophia was cast in the big screen version of English cult hit the Thunderbirds. Though, the movie didn't perform as expected, she earned praise for her role as the iconic Lady Penelope. Soon, Sophia began working on Art School Confidential, directed by Terry Zwigoff (Ghost World) playing an American who is the muse of student in art school. Afterwards, she returned to her television roots, starring in Colditz as Lizzie Carter who is the object of affection and desire for 2 brothers. She then appeared in Marple: Sleeping Murder as a young woman who discovers that as a child she witnessed a murder. Sophia was cast in Tristan & Isolde. She played Isolde, the fiery young Irish princess who is promised to an evil man, that she does not love. In 2006 she returned to television starring Madame de Pompadour in Doctor Who as the Doctor's love interest Trivia:

I was just thinking Sophia needed a thread over here . Thanks for starting one Melika .
I'm going to borrow my friends copy of Tristan and Isolde as according to her Sophia is excellent in it. The only things I've seen her in apart from Moonlight are Dracula (she must like Vampire themed shows, right? ) and the episode of Dr. Who; which is still my favourite episode from the entire new version of the show. |

Tristan + Isolde is a fantastic movie, Sophia is amazing in it.
Other movies of hers to check out are Underworld and Underworld: Evolution. She doesn't have major roles in those two but they are great movies! |

I really need to watch that episode of Extras then; Orlando Bloom and Sophia in the same episode
Melika - its a UK show created by Ricky Gervais who also did the British and original version of The Office, I believe it was shown over in the US on HBO. Everything you need to know is on its Wikipedia page. Underworld is a film I have been meaning to watch for years - I will see it one day I hope . |

She's really only it it for one scene with Orlando but it's very funny, the rest of the episode is good too.

That Extras thing sounds cool, does anyone know if it's online?
I first noticed her in Tristian and Isolde - great film, she and James Franco make a good on screen couple. I really like her with Alex O'Loughlin in Moonlight - they would make a great on screen couple to! I just got into Moonlight and I'm totally hooked - i hope it gets picked up! __________________

I've never seen Moonlight but she was WONDERFUL in Tristan and Isolde. That movie makes me sigh.
I've also heard good things about Art School Confidential although I haven't seen it yet. __________________
