| Good evening all!  Let me add my "boo" to Shannon being out of the tourney.  I always think she's going to do well and I'm always surprised when she busts.  I also wish some company would scoop her up as a spokesperson. She has such a great personality and smile, I would certainly sit up and take notice if she popped up on my TV screen! I hope she comes back home soon and doesn't hang around LV. Shouldn't she be prepping for that movie she was going to direct? Wonder what happened to that...seems like the Bieber/Brown vid and the jewelry line kind of side-tracked her or maybe the funding is still not quite there yet for the film. I love the poker pic you chose for the OP, isis, and thanks danzfan for finding and posting it! Also like the quote over it...perfect! | Hello all! So glad Shannon made it back to LA before the freeway shutdown. Now she'll have to stay put for a few days and hopefully spend more time with her doggies. She tweeted about giving Katie a bath and I was so pleased to see that. I was worried she didn't spend much time with the bigger dogs and kind of left them to her roommate. Here's the tweet... Quote:

| Happy Friday everyone!  Linus - those groupings of pics on the op are uploading as one photo so that could be why we can have so many. I just counted & we have 14 including the main pic. So if Shannon has some epic moments in the future captured on film, we'll be able to add a few! It seems Shannon was happy with BB last night. Nice to see her excited about the show. I'm watching this season as well but can't seem to get excited about any of it.  Must be a generation thing. I'll keep watching just so I know what Shannon's talking about in her tweets. | Happy Saturday ladies!!! I jumped on ordering Shannon's book right away Sox Fan but I'm with you - will most likely not understand a thing. Maybe the book will include a glossary. Still it's nice she's part of this book but of course to us it's "Shannon's book." Have a wonderful day everyone!! | Happy Saturday all! Sounds like Shannon (as well as most LA residents) will be sticking close to home with the freeway closure this weekend. So maybe we'll get lots of tweets from her the next 2 days  Have a wonderful weekend everyone and good luck with the tiling, isis. I'm at the point where I hire workers to do that kind of stuff now. lol EDIT: Just noticed when Shannon changed her Twitter icon, she also removed "poker player" from her profile description. | Good Afternoon Linus thank you I had not looked at Shannon's twitter pg on the web recently so did not know she had removed poker player from her profile. Guess she wants to focus on other areas of her life. Am sure she will still play charity events & events where she has a sponsor as she did in the Main Event. Isis Thanks for the review of Night of the Demons. Wonderful comments about Shannon. Isis I also ordered Winning Women Of Poker & received it today. Went right to Shanon's chapter which is so interesting. The chapter is called The Spiritual Side of Poker : The Mind-Body-Soul Connection & she gives advice such as paying attention, exercise, meditation & trusting your instincts. Her advise is great & can be used for many situations in life not only poker. Shannon as you all know writes in a very conversational manner & her chapter is written in that same way. Shannon's friend, who is one of my favorites on twitter, poker star Liz Lieu also has a great chapter called Giving Back. In 2011 Liz won the Maven's Awards Humanitarian Award for her charity work. In her chapter she shares the value of giving back. | Good Afternoon! Sorry I have not posted for a few days  but I took a break from the internet and twitter for a few days. It is a good thing to do once in awhile!  Interesting that Shannon deleted "Poker Player" off her bio Linus especially when she is a contributed to the "Winning Women of Poker" ! I ordered my book and I am hoping it will come soon! I have followed Shannon for several years at the WSOP but I don't know a thing about the game! Glad to hear Sox that it is not only about the mechanics of the game. | Good evening all! I agree, soxfan, that Shannon must want to focus on other areas of her life: acting, directing, her jewelry line, etc., and with the success of the Bieber/Brown vid and her independent film award, she probably just wants to remind people she is an actress first, not a poker player. Until recently, I'm sure some people thought she had given up acting for poker. Having said that, I think she knows her name brings attention to the game so she doesn't want to give it up altogether and she still does seem to enjoy it. But, I agree she will probably just do the charity events. I hope we here more about the movie she was planning to direct. It would be a shame if it got shelved. In the meantime, it seems Woodie has taught her a new way of cooking and the meal she made looked very yummy. Quote:
