I live in a suburb of Buffalo, NY and watch E Talk Daily which is a Canadian version of Emntertainment tonight. They mentioned that Scott Speedman was in Toronto that week, so a week ago on Thursday, my friend and I drove to Toronto (we do it often, friends have gone to U of Toronto, It is an awesome city....its just 1 hour and 45 minutes away...quick ride). We heard he was at the Drake Hotel on West Queen St. so we set out to find it. I love W. Queen, it is similar to SOHO in New York City. It is also where Speakers Corner is. And yes it is a booth on the corner where you can money in and leave a tape. It is surronded by windows. Anyways, we found The Drake Hotel. It is in an obscure location. The funky part of Queen Street is between Spadina and University. The Drake is on the other side of Spadina about 2 miles down on the right. It looks like a dump with nothing around it. There isn't a lobby to speak of, just stairs to take you up to the rooms (to the left) and a patio bar (door to the right). There is a lounge on the first floor to the right of the stairs. We decided to eat at the outdoor cafe on the side of the building, which is only 3 stories high. We fiqured THE MOST GORGEOUS MAN ALIVE might show because it was around dinner time and suddenly, there he was! He got out of a cab and went directly to his room...smiling first....! We almost died! His hair is blond and longish, but not real long! Unfortunatly, that was it because we hung around a little and he didn't come back down before we had to leavebut (we had to be home by 9:00...2 hour ride). He is soooo beautiful! I am sorry this is so long....but I also have a Toronto Film Festival story where I had my picture taken with him in the lobby of the Four Season Hotel last year (where I literally almost fainted) and saw him at the Premiere of Underworld... I have to go not but will fill you in later! If any of you can get to the Toronto Film Festival, you should because it is sooo cool. Stars everywhere! I'm sorry that I am so long winded!

gypsyger, first and foremost, welcome to the Speedy board. Secondly, don't be discouraged if this particular thread gets closed and your post is moved to the Speedy thread. Thirdly, and most importantly, I'd love to hear more details about your sighting. Was it a week ago this past Thursday, as in August 12th? What was he wearing? Tell us everything you remember! Was it you and your friend that he smiled at??? (If so, you lucky girl!!!) Fourthly, please get over to the Speedy thread and tell us about the Toronto Film Festival adventure! Fifthly (I know that's not really a word!), I live in Rochester, about an hour and a half away from Buffalo. I need to know.... are you a Bills fan??? (I live for the Bills!)
