That must be difficult sometimes. What kind of business do you own?

wickedrum 12-23-2016 09:59 AM

I operate a daycare for kids aged 8 and under. (mainly under) And because it's such a small "business", if some of the parents work then so do I.

heartღaflutter 12-23-2016 10:33 AM

Okay must be cool to do but I can imagine it's intense too
You have people working for you?!

wickedrum 12-23-2016 02:20 PM

No. I had one person at one point but she wasn't reliable. I really just prefer to do my own thing because I know I can count on myself.

So this way, I can only have a maximum of 6 children at any one time per adult/me because of regulations, though I have more clients who come at different times, 43-57hrs/week. I know it's too much and I should downsize but I find it hard to let people down.

heartღaflutter 12-23-2016 06:42 PM

haha true to that but it is a shame that you couldn't count on her.. it would decrease the workload.

I understand.. you don't want to let them down because they rely on you as well a little

wickedrum 01-09-2017 08:41 AM

I'm only working in the morning today! :yay:

heartღaflutter 01-09-2017 09:17 AM

haha good for you! :) Any plans?

Another week of night shifts for me! :P

wickedrum 01-09-2017 09:20 AM

night shifts, uh, is that tough?

No plans, just catching up on some fanfic reading :sigh:

heartღaflutter 01-09-2017 09:22 AM

haha it can be, in the last month this will be my 3rd time to do 4 nightshifts.. that is though :( Thankfully in 1,5 month I have a new job that hopefully requires less nightshifts
Where I work right now there's a big problem with staffing and they can't get it right..

Oh that's always good. For what show/couple are you reading them now?

wickedrum 01-09-2017 09:27 AM

I usually read Sherlock these days and I don't mind the pairing.

how long is your shift?

heartღaflutter 01-09-2017 09:34 AM

I read a lot about Sherlock. Still wondering if I should catch it someday

From 11PM till 7:30AM :(

wickedrum 01-09-2017 09:36 AM

you've never seen Sherlock?

That's a long shift. Do you get any time to rest or is it all go?
