BIO:
Born April 8, 1968, Patricia T. Arquette was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Virginia and California, the daughter of Mardi Olivia (née Nowak), an actress, poet, theater operator, activist, acting teacher and therapist, and Lewis Arquette, an actor. Arquette's paternal grandfather was comedian Cliff Arquette. Arquette's mother was Jewish, the daughter of a Holocaust refugee from Poland, and her father was a convert to Islam and a descendant of explorer Meriwether Lewis. Arquette's siblings are actors Rosanna, Robert (Alexis), Richmond and David Arquette. Arquette is also the sister-in-law of Courteney Cox, who is married to her brother David.

Career:
At the age of eighteen, Arquette got her start in show business in 1986's Pretty Smart. A year later, she gained attention for her starring role in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, playing Kristen Parker. In 1993, she starred in Tony Scott's True Romance. Soon after, her career took off, and she has since appeared in such critically acclaimed movies as Ed Wood, Beyond Rangoon, Ethan Frome, Lost Highway, Stigmata, Bringing Out The Dead, Human Nature, Disney's Holes, and Flirting with Disaster. In January, 2005 she began starring in her first television series, NBC's Medium. Now in its 4th season, the success of Medium has made Arquette a household name. She won a CableACE Award in 1991 for her portrayal of a deaf epileptic in Wildflower. She won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2005 for her role as the psychic Allison DuBois on NBC's Medium. In 2006, she was nominated for a SAG award and Golden Globe Award for her role on Medium. In 2007, she was again nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Medium. In April 2008, NBC announced Medium would be back for a fifth season due to increased ratings.

Personal Life:
In April 1995, Arquette married Nicolas Cage (with whom she would later co-star in Bringing Out the Dead in 1999). They separated after nine months, but acted as a couple in public until Cage filed for divorce in February 2000. The divorce petition was withdrawn, but Arquette filed again in November 2000. She and actor Thomas Jane became engaged in 2002 and married on June 25, 2006 at the Palazzo Contarini in Venice, Italy. They have a daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope, whom Arquette discovered she was carrying while filming Holes, born on February 20, 2003. Arquette also has a son, Enzo (born January 3, 1989), from her previous relationship with musician Paul Rossi. In 1997, after her mother died of breast cancer, Arquette worked to raise awareness about the disease. She has run in the annual Race for the Cure, and in 1999 was the spokesperson for Lee National Denim Day, which raises millions of dollars for breast cancer research and education.

I didn't see a thread for her in the Master Thread, I didn't see a thread for her the last time I searched through the board, so I seriously hope there hasn't been a Thread Created for this Blonde Dame, yet. Sorry if there is one already.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "Medium" star Patricia Arquette has filed for divorce from her husband, actor Thomas Jane, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to court records made public on Monday.

Arquette and Jane were married in June 2006 and they have a 5-year-old daughter named Harlow.

Arquette, 40, stars in the television crime drama "Medium" on the U.S. network NBC. She also starred in the 2006 film "Fast Food Nation" and the 2003 movie "Holes."

The Chicago-born actress was married to "National Treasure" star Nicolas Cage from 1995 to 2001.

Jane, 39, starred in a couple episodes of "Medium" and in the 2004 movie version of "The Punisher" comic book.

Well, that was unexpected.
They looked like a nice couple, too.

A very Beautiful MQ Picture of Arquette in the PETA Campaign.

Patricia Arquette is the latest celebrity to lend her name a PETA campaign, urging pet-owners to ALWAYS spay and neuter their animals. In the new ad, Arquette poses beside the tagline “Envision a World With No Homeless Dogs or Cats.”

She says, “Half a million dogs and cats are put down in California every year—[one] every three seconds… I had heard over the years people say, “I don’t want to spay them before they have a chance to have babies.” There are half a million animals in our own state who are killed every year just because people want to have that experience.”

Arquette is also outspoken on the issue of fur and says, “I don’t like fur… My mom had a [fur] jacket from the 50’s … But the concept of buying fur today doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ve seen people in fur coats, and in my wild mind, I’m hoping someone will throw red paint on them!”

So remember, if you’re thinking of adding a cuddly, snuggly so-and-so to your family, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS adopt from a shelter and make sure your animals are spayed and neutered. Let’s help create a world where no animal goes homeless!

Patricia Arquette might play psychic Allison Dubois on the NBC hit drama Medium, but Patricia knows that it doesn't take a psychic to see that companion animal homelessness is a serious problem worldwide. That's why the Emmy Award–winning actor posed beside the tagline "Envision a World With No Homeless Dogs or Cats" in PETA's beautiful new ABC ad.

Every year, more than 7 million dogs and cats are turned in to U.S. animal shelters. Almost half of these animals will be euthanized because there aren't enough good homes for them. Horrified by those statistics? Good. You should be horrified, especially because the solution is as easy as ABC—animal birth control.

Putting an end to the animal overpopulation crisis is something that everyone can help with. Always spay and neuter your animal companions, and never buy animals from pet stores or breeders. And if you plan to make an animal a lifelong member of your family, adopt him or her from your local animal shelter.

Check out what Patricia had to say about why she wanted to help with PETA's ABC campaign and what people can do to make their animal companions happier. Here she is in her own words:

PETA's Animal Birth Control campaign was created to help put an end to the animal overpopulation crisis through spaying and neutering and encouraging adoption of animals from animal shelters rather than purchasing them from breeders or pet shops. Why is this campaign important to you?

One of my best friends is a woman named Whitney Smith and she works with the REVA foundation... She's constantly rescuing animals... and she's educated me about the horrors that animals in Los Angeles face. Half a million dogs and cats are put down in California every year—[one] every three seconds... I had heard over the years people say, "I don't want to spay them before they have a chance to have babies." There are half a million animals in our own state who are killed every year just because people want to have that experience.

What are some things that people can do every day to make their companion animals' lives a happy one?

Play with them, kiss them, pet them, walk them. Take them out whenever they can. Let them have adventures. Smell the world.

What other animal issues are close to your heart and why?

I don't like fur... My mom had a [fur] jacket from the 50's ... But the concept of buying fur today doesn't make any sense to me. I've seen people in fur coats, and in my wild mind, I'm hoping someone will throw red paint on them!
