Biography:

Olivia was born in New York City and raised in Washington, D.C. During her summers, Olivia traveled to abroad, including Ireland, where she studied at the reknowned Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. She has appeared in such films as The Girl Next Door and Alpha Dog. Her birthname is Olivia Cockburn, and she is the daughter of journalist Andrew Cockburn, and the granddaughter of writer James Helvick. She attended Phillips Academy as well as the Gaiety School of Acting in Ireland. After graduating from Phillips, she moved to L.A. and, while working at a casting agency, she landed a small role in the feature Girl Next Door starring Elisha Cuthbert. Olivia decided to pursue acting full-time and was soon therafter cast in one of the leading roles in the short lived U.S. television show Skin. She is also well known for her recurring appearances on The OC as Alex.

Olivia is the wife of Tao Ruspoli, an Italian American documentary filmmaker, photographer and flamenco guitar player.
