Though in all honesty I sometimes do think that women should be awarded for their work, without a doubt it should be equal but perhaps the men did a better job directing wise?
Sometimes I think there's too much focus on that really in this day.. People should be awarded equally that's for sure but sometimes I dislike all the hatred/remarks..

^^ well..it's no secret that female-driven movies were the most successful last year and one of those had a female director. I know some of those aren't really appreciated at these kind of award shows, but it is true that women still don't get as much directing opportunities and enough support from studios, so it's definitely not that they're not as good. they can definitely tell our stories better than male directors, however good they are so, you know, we wouldn't wanna kick out all the men of show business but there has to be more room for women for sure

You mean Wonder Woman?Yeah those movies don't tend to get recognised.
oh I agree that there should be room Though this has been the issue for years.. I wonder if it's going to change.
Plus I know an award is nice but if a movie is doing well in the box office that's what counts the most right? That the fans love it.
Even though they are deserving of awards perhaps, it's always nice to get rewards of course..

yeahI understand it means a lot but IMO a lot of other good films don't get any recognition at all (as in they don't get to be at the awards) but that's another discussion!
