○THE SUPERMODEL○

The term supermodel refers to a highly-paid élite fashion model who usually has a worldwide reputation and often a background in haute couture and commercial modeling.Supermodels usually work for top fashion designers and labels. They have multimillion dollar contracts, endorsements and campaigns. They have branded themselves as household names and worldwide recognition is associated with their modeling careers & have been on the covers of various magazines.

○THE ANGELS ○

"Victoria's Secret Angels" are the brand's most visible models and spokeswomen. The VS Angels made their début in 1999 in the fourth annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Daniela Pestova, Karen Mulder, Laetitia Casta, Heidi Klum, Stephanie Seymour, and Tyra Banks are among the "Angels" from the original promotion. In May 2007, the Victoria's Secret Angels, including Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, and Karolina Kurkova were chosen to be part of People Magazine's annual "100 Most Beautiful People in the World" issue. On November 13, 2007, Victoria's Secret Angels became the first trademark awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 'Angels' are among the world's best-paid models.

Models may be used to display and promote clothing. Fashion modeling may involve catwalk or runway modeling or editorial modeling, covering photography for magazine spreads, ad campaigns, catalogues, print etc. The emphasis of fashion photography is on the clothes or accessories, not the model. Fashion models may be used to display or promote various types of clothing, such as lingerie, swimsuit, bikinis, etc. Other models may be used in showroom, fit modeling, fitness or sporty modeling.

I was wondering if you were still planning on starting this thread. I love your OP!

And I love how you included my two all-time favorite supermodels in that first banner - Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss.

I also like seeing Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, and Gemma Ward.

I'm so obsessed with supermodels/models, it's not even funny.

My all-time favorite model isn't technically a supermodel, though she might as well be 'cause she definitely fits that Claudia Schiffer quote

Those are some of my favorite shots of a new photoshoot Mischa Barton has recently done. I adore that photoshoot! No one does vintage elegance the way she does. No one!

she does have a great style! Love that red dress. And I adore that she's like what? 5'7'' right? I'm not even that but still, nice to see some shorter ones getting some
