Michelle Trachtenberg Thread #4: 'Our girl is all grown up!'
 Welcome to the brand sparkling new Michelle Trachtenberg appreciation thread! I hope the title is okay, I like it! It is like the one of the ones suggested but I changed it a little because it isn't the Buffy thread [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Biography Michelle Trachtenberg is anything but an ordinary 17-year-old. Currently, the actress plays the mystery-laden character of Buffy's little sister Dawn Summers on UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is perhaps best known for her starring role in Harriet the Spy, opposite Rosie O'Donnell, for which she won the Best Lead Actress in a Feature Film award from Young Artists of Hollywood. A native New Yorker, Trachtenberg began her acting career at the age of four when she appeared in her first television commercial. Since then, she has appeared in over 100 national spots and in starring roles both in film and on television. In 1999, Trachtenberg starred opposite Matthew Broderick in the live-action feature film Inspector Gadget. Her other feature credits include roles in the independent films Can't Be Heaven, The Cage and Melissa. Daytime television fans will remember Trachtenberg from her role as the autistic Lily Montgomery on All My Children, at which time the drama also starred Sarah Michelle Gellar. She was also a series regular on the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Trachtenberg's other television credits include guest starring roles on Meego, Guys Like Us, Figure It Out, Dave's World, Law & Order, Saturday Night Live, Clarissa Explains It All and Space Cases, as well as the television movies A Father's Choice opposite Peter Strauss and Mary McDonnell, and Christmas in Our Home Town with Melissa Gilbert. For the past seven years, Trachtenberg has been an active spokesperson for R.A.D.D., DARE America, The Starlight Foundation and many others. Her contributions to the fight against drugs earned her the prestigious responsibility of representing the youth of America at CNN's headquarters in Atlanta, where she helped President Clinton launch The Coalition for a Drug Free America campaign. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys swimming, rollerblading, ice-skating, bicycling and writing short stories. What did you first see Michelle in?
Harriet the spy. As I was young, I saw that movie and fell in love with it. Later, after I became a fan (see question #2! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]) I was babysitting and the little girl had the movie. I babysat her all summer and played the movie at least 30 times during that summer! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] When did you become a fan? Buffy actually. I started to watch it in french over here and USA was already at it's 5th season. And during the summer, it didn't felt like watching reruns of the two first season so I decided to watch it in english. So I saw the 5th season's reruns, and there she was! And that same summer, I started my website about her! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] What have you seen Michelle in? I saw...Harriet, Buffy, Truth or scare, Eurotrip, Richie Rich Christmas wish, Christmas in my hometown, Inspector gadget and the adventure of Pete & Pete. Top three roles? What did you first see Michelle in?
The Adventures of Pete and Pete, fantastic show and Michelle was hilarious as Nona. What have you seen Michelle in? Buffy, Pete and Pete, Truth or Scare, MADtv, Law and Order, Blues Clues, Meego, Harriet, Inspector Gadget, Christmas In My Hometown, Richie Rich's Christmas Wish... and most of her interviews. When did you become a fan? Buffy, I love Buffy, best show ever! Seen every episode and I saw Michelle as Dawn in Buffy vs. Dracula and I was a fan ever since. Top three roles? Dawn, Harriet, and Michelle as herself (Truth or Scare, interviews etc) And I think the advertising is a good idea, I'll do it in my next update. Michelle has alot of roles this year. Yay for her! I remember when Michelle was just little and was in Harriet the Spy. Now, she is all grown up and having done Buffy and more mature type movies is great.

Why did you choose to build a website on her? Because I was a big fan of Buffy I originally had a Buffy fansite. It took a lot of time though so I decided to close. I wanted to open a new site and then Michelle came onto Buffy and I saw her amazing acting talent and thought I must do that! Over time I have gotten to be such a huge fan of hers. What other actors are you a fan of? Oh so many, all the other Buffy actors, Katherine Heigl, Holly Marie Combs, Reese Witherspoon, Orlando Bloom, Colin Farrell, Amber Tamblyn, Elisha Cuthbert, Sarah Wynter, Kiefer Sutherland... that's just the short list! Besides Buffy, what other TV shows do you watch? 24, Gilmore Girls, Roswell, Angel (of course), Charmed, Newlyweds, Punk'd, Friends, Alias, Dark Angel, The Simpsons, CSI, CSI Miami, Without a Trace, Will and Grace, Dawson's Creek... and probably way more I just can't think! How old are you? I am 18, Michelle is only a couple of weeks older than me! Now you... Well...It's been so long I can't remember! lol No...hum..Dawn was my favorite character and lots of people around me were building website and I thought: why not! So I tried. And the first version of DF were awful! lolll What other actors are you a fan of? Katie Holmes, James Marsters, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eliza Dushku, Alyson Hannigan, Orlando Bloom, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Holly Marie Combs, Emily Vancamp.
