It's a long wait for the Downton movie though, not released until September next year I read, but it didn't take long to shoot.
I think perhaps Matthew Goode was busy with other projects, so maybe that's why he couldn't do more in the film, as you say I was looking forward to seeing Mary and Henry with their new baby.

Yeah, Matthew Goode did a TV show (A Discovery of Witches) so maybe that clashed with the D.A. shooting.

I thought the movie will be released 2020 so it'll be late next year then?

Needless to say love the gorgeous pic of Mary and Henry, thanks Lindsay it was a lovely way to end the series, I almost feel like the movie can't top it really.

That DA post just made me wish Henry was in the movie. I wonder what explanation they have for him not being there.

And looking at the other actors joining the cast, they've got some new characters as well, chances are I won't be interested in them,
and wishing Henry was there instead.

It's just weird that Henry isn't there as he's married to Mary + they have a child. Also, do we know the timeline for the movie? I'm expecting George to be a lot bigger now too.

Looking at some of the costumes in the pictures we've seen, era wise they can't be too far away from when the series finished.
