I haven't been around in a while. Some old timers may remember me from the "Roswell" boards. But my first internet fandom was "X-Files". A few months ago, I wondered what Nicholas Lea (Krycek) had been up to since then, and stumbled across "Kyle XY," which featured him in a supporting role that was surprisingly reminiscent of Krycek.

"Kyle XY" was on ABC Family from 2006-2009. All 43 eps are available on Hulu. It was a sci fi/teen drama/comedy about a
teenaged boy who begins living among humans at 15-16 years old, played by Matt Dallas.

He was in "Eastwick", on ABC, last fall. He's in "Beauty and the Briefcase", a made-for-tv comedy starring Hilary Duff, that ABC Family began showing in April. Last month, he finished working on a low-budget musical that should be out next year. He's also done several videos for pop art photographer Tyler Shields.

What I enjoy most about him are his fluid, often goofy, facial expressons. Still photos don't quite do him justice. Most of the ones online are from 2006-2007, when ABC Disney was marketing "Kyle XY" heavily. To sell him as a teenager, they tend to emphasize his almost androgynous beauty at the time. This video, made while he was working on "Babysitter Wanted" in 2006, shows what he looked like then.

This photo was taken in April, 2010, at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. He was there to promote "As Good As Dead", which will be out on DVD in October. I'll post some more later. I'm just curious whether anyone else remembers him.

My pleasure! In June, he starred in "You, Me, & the Circus". It's the first film produced by Omar Epps (Dr. Foreman on "House, M.D."). I don't know what kind of distribution they'll be able to get, but they have a Facebook fan group page, which describes it as a musical. It has 169 photos that were taken during rehearsal and filming. Here are a few of the ones with Matt. A very different look from Kyle XY!



Matt plays a guy who gets dumped by his fiance. Part of the film has the characters looking like normal, modern young people. The circus is a metaphor for romance, and that's where the make-up and costumes come in.
