i really liked AG in the Spiderman reboot with Emma Stone, still do. it was worlds removed from that previous mess of a series. the second film was just too convoluted and too much happening, and too dark with the death of Gwen Stacy, but i still wanted to see a third film with him and the Mary Jane Watson, shot with Shailene Woodley. that would've been super!
i really have no opinion on Sony's decision to drop him because of his interviews and/or comments about the third film plot, or whether Disney/Marvel pressured them to drop him because of their bias against his views. i don't deal with millions of dollars of investors money, so i can't say who was right or wrong, we'll never know i suppose. i'll always wish there was a AG third film of Spidey. *sighs* |
