| Marion defenitely rocks the awards ceremonies this year today she just win another award in the leading actress category of the BAFTA awards ! Against all forecasts which gave Julie Christie favorite and finally (gladly) went so wrong about it. | The Academy will need to take a serious look at themselves if they do not reward Mlle. Cotillard's astounding performance. It's an award for Best Actress, don't bother nominating if you're going to pull the 'foreign film policy' BS. I'm trying not to sound biased in all of this but that portrayal is truly one of the greatest I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing - regardless of the fact it's in French. But I now have new renound hope now for Feb. 24th. Anyhoo, congrats to Marion on the Bafta. I haven't stopped grinning like a fool yet. __________________ | |||

| I adore your avie.  I loved just how endearing her acceptance speech was. You could tell she was truly shocked, she was so speechless...it wasn't one of those 'Omg, I actually won (though, I secretly knew it), reactions. I also loved seeing Guillaume there with her. | I think the Cesar is hers for the taking, no doubt. I just hope the Americans reward her, its thoroughly deserved. Her speech was amazing, she was so nervous, it was hard for her to get up there, I guess (she was also really nervous presenting). Since she was not expecting to win, she hadn't prepared a speech so there she is up on stage, shy and shocked to the core and having to think quickly in her head how to translate her thoughts into English. From that wee bit of silence she gave half way through, I thought she was going to cave and start speaking French.  But she kept it together, wasn't theatrical or hysterical, it was just right. The perfect acceptance speech. And is it just me or did she thank Guillaume too? I could have swore it was his name she mentioned right after Olivier, the director. I shouldn't get over-excited for the Oscars because if she does not triumph then I'm going to feel very sad. __________________ | |||

She has become famous because of her apparition in Taxis  I hope she will win the Oscar. She has already won a lot of awards.
