After attending Columbia University, Gyllenhaal resides in New York City. She earned her BA in English, which gave her theater experience during college in addition to her literary point. In London, she studied briefly at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Focusing on English, her stage experience led her to acting after graduation.

She is so pretty. I usually don't like short hair on actresses, but her eyes and her smile make the way she wears her hair look absolutely beautiful.

the first time i saw her was in Donnie Darko and my teacher was like they're brother and sister, i ddint believe him at first but since then i've fallen in love with her.
i thought she was amazing in Mona Lisa Smile and my mum adored her in it too
