OMG, Meredith's backstory! I can't believe that's how she came into the Brawlers life.

When she shot and killed all those people, I wasn't expecting that. Poor Meredith..

The scene where she's in the bathroom and looking at her bloody hands.. When Ethan came in and helped her with the 'pushy kind' of faucet.. so she could wash the blood off her hands and face. When he helped her with the breathing trick so she could get her breathing back to normal..OMG..I am loving them so much. And then he wipes the rest of the blood of her face!!

I know! No child should have to see that happen to her parents. And then to find out later that all she thought she knew was a lie. And then even worse when she confronts Burt about it he lies even more to sway her to his agenda! Ugh!

I felt so bad for her during that. Her friend betraying her like that (even though it seems like she was forced to) was so harsh. And then she had to kill those others before they killed her. Since Meredith and Gertrude left each other alive I really hope we get more on this in S2 (if it happens). Like will they come out from this.

Madie's acting is absolutely incredible! So much whoa! And I loved seeing Ethan be there for her and calm her down. It was such a great moment between them. I ship them. Though I do also ship her with someone else.

I loved the show alooot but I felt like the ending was sorta...anticlimactic? I mean I don't know what the purpose was for Doris/Katherine to start that big war and get so many people killed that had nothing to do with the initial injustices done to her...if all she was gonna do was get Burt in a room by himself and shoot him dead. That didn't make sense to me. She could have done that without the whole shabang but then I guess there wouldn't be a show..

I also didn't understand how she was able to take down Bash so easily...he knew she was coming after him, you would think he would be more prepared.

Can I tell you how much I freakin' loved the scene when Matty finds out Ethan was the one betraying them..and Johnson knew the entire time!!! Matty and Johnson chose Matty..I screamed out loud at that scene with joy...it made me so happy. They are my OT3.. Just thinking about it makes me tear up. I know Matty beats Ethan up a few scenes later but Ethan had that coming..lol.

Meredith and Ethan..I can't get over them. I knew I was a goner for them as soon as they exchanged glances in the club. But their story and development.. just wow. Totally didn't expect that. I think they are so alike because they've been so lonely and alone all their lives but they found a place where they finally felt like they belonged. In Episode 8, she tells him "Dollface, I knew you belonged here from the minute I laid eyes on you." I felt like that meant so much to him and that smile they exchanged.. I also loved her teasing him in the beginning of the scene with the breathing trick he had helped her with after the Ghoulie attack.. So cute. And the way she went to rescue her man by herself after she thought he was kidnapped. Loved that...she's not scared of anything.

This show better get another season because of all the things they left unanswered. I want to write about more things but I need to get back to work..but these are just my initial thoughts

Heather, I hated when Burt fed her that lie. After all the lying, he still couldn't be honest with her. I wish she didn't believe him but that's her father and she wants to trust him.

And who's your ship on the show?

Yeah but at the time she was planning and doing all this she had no idea she was going to get him in a room by himself like that. And if I remember correctly Burt is the one who wanted to meet her there. She took the opportunity that was presented to her. I think it would have been weird if it would have been so easy for her to get him by himself.

I don't think he planned on fighting back and that is why he didn't bring anything.

Those 3 are amazing and I love them! I wonder if Johnson recognized Doris/Katherine when they were at the diner and that's how he figured Ethan was her inside man. It's interesting he didn't say anything. And then poor Matty when he found out. He was so hurt. He wanted to be a Banished Brawler so bad but I guess he found what he was looking for with Ethan and Johnson.

I love how their story developed too and there is so much more they can do with them. I loved all their scenes and interactions.

I'm going to be pissed if it doesn't get a s2. Work always interfering with the fun.

It just showed it was all for his own agenda and he cares more about that than being honest with her. I wish she hadn't either but I could understand why she did.

I love Ethan/Meredith and Joel/Meredith.

But remember Witt was telling her they could figure out another way of getting her revenge without everyone getting hurt and target specific people and she responded 'maybe I want a little blood shed' or something like that.

I wonder if this was related to her line about 'being underestimated is the greatest advantage you have over other people'. It seems like both her brother and Bash underestimated her again.

Oh very good point and you're probably right. He's not much of a talker..seems to be like a guy that lets things fall where it may and just go with it. lol

Totally..and I love that. They're his family now. I love the way he defended his brother.

I really hope they give us another season..I love these characters and the dynamic. I need to see the rest of the story!

Ah, smart idea hedging ships so you get what you want either way. For some reason, Joel/Meredith didn't give me the shipping vibes..I think his beard might have had something to do with it..

I agree I think she could have went about it different but I was just responding to you saying if all she was gonna do was get Burt in a room by himself and shoot him dead and just saying but she didn't know she was going to get Burt alone. So while I do think she could have done things differently she didn't know it would turn out that she would end up getting him alone. And even if she had done it differently she still wouldn't have known.

I'm not so sure if it was he was underestimating her but just didn't want to fight back. But it could have been some of that too as maybe he thought he could talk her down from whatever she had planned. So maybe underestimating her feelings and her anger.

It must have been weird to see them passing in the car and then to have her show up in the diner acting weird and talking to them. And then Ethan was acting weird and uncomfortable too. He focused on Ethan as she left. I also think he just didn't want to rat him out.

I love they stuck together too. Their dynamic was so good.
