Lesser Known Female Celebrities

There are so many amazing celebrities recognized at this board, but there are also ones I love who are lesser known, but certainly just as beautiful, talented, and awesome.

Some of my favorites:
Emma Griffiths-Malin - She played Fleur Forsyte on the second part of "The Forsyte Saga". I think she's so lovely and a tremendous actress, with so much spirit. I also commend her for not being one of those stick models in Hollywood! She's got a great figure.

Monica Bellucci - As Mel Gibson put it, she's "staggeringly beautiful". I loved her in Malena, and I hear she's great in The Passion of the Christ. Very talented and subtle in her acting.

Romola Garai - She's adorable, and so natural. Loved her in I Capture the Castle, and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.

Any favorites of yours?

I love Joss Stone and Alison Lohman!

I'd like to add Frances O'Connor to the mix, as well. She's a great British actress - Mansfield Park is my fave of hers.

Frances O'Connor is actually Australian.. but she does accept many British acting roles.

and i also love Joss stone and Alison Lohman!!

Another fav actress of mine is Jena Malone from Donnie Darko and stepmom, i think she's really talented and beautiful.

I personally am a big fan of Jenna. My favorite movie of hers is Life as a House followed by Stepmom.

As for lesser knowns...I'd have to say Heather Maratazzo and Ginnifer Goodwin. She's been in two big movies but she's been playing the "sidekick" role.

Was Jenna the daughter in Stepmom?

Lauren Graham really doesn't get all the credit she deserves, she's not as popular but she's still known but I think you can include her.

2 other actresses you can include are McKenzie Westmore and Sienna Miller.

Yes, Jena played the daughter in 'stepmom'.

I think that Rachel McAdams(The Notebook and Mean Girls) has the potential to be a really good actress. Anyone who can play a bitchy teenage girl in one role and then go to the other side of the spectrum and do a period-y novel-y piece and do it convincingly deserves props from me.

McKenzie is on the soap opera, Passions but she's very talented despite being on there.

Sienna Miller has been several shows but her lastest one was Keen Eddie last summer on FOX.

I totally agree I also liked her in The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. Although it's a pity that she usualy plays a school girl in a uniform - IMO.

I will say I loved LAAH -- it was a great movie, and Hayden is one of my husbands.

My Favorite Lesser Knowns:

A.J. Cook - Gorgeous, talented, has convictions -- what's not to like?
Natalie Portman - She's a great actress, but like Lauren I don't think she gets the recognition she deserves...like, say, a board at FF.
Kate Moennig (though she is getting more popular on "The L Word")
