Kurt Russell #1

Ok so what if he's 55! He's still an amazing actor and incredibly sexy. Please tell me other people think this so I don't feel like a creep loving a 55 year old man rofl.

I love Kurt Russell. Such a fantastic (and underrated) actor. I remember having a mad crush on him at fourteen (in 2002) and watching all his movies, sans Vanilla Sky and Dark Blue then, just to oogle at him. He has the most gorgeous blue eyes, absolutely divine. I think my constant talk of Kurt-Russell [secretly] drove my family up the wall.

Whether or not I was actually appreciating the movies beyond his presence, I didn't know at the time. I've rewatched just about all of those movies (and some I hadn't seen) and I can finally say I enjoy them not just because he's in them, but he certainly makes them all the more enjoyable. I mean, Tango & Cash is a bad movie (it plays out like some saturday morning cartoon), but its damn hillarious because how he plays his character, Gabe Cash. Sly Stone wasn't half-bad either to an extent.

To name a few movies, I loved him in Backdraft, Stargate, Swing Shift, Overboard, and Silkwood. His collaborations with John Carpenter are always fun (or terrifying, in terms of The Thing) to watch. I have a brother who can quote all of Jack Burton's one-liners in Big Trouble In Little China.

I remember there used to be a Fansite for him (and Goldie Hawn) called "The Kurt Russell/Goldie Hawn Scrapbook" but I guess the webmaster stopped updating it 'cause I can't find it anywhere on Google now.

I agree, he's a great looking man! I can't believe I've never seen Backdraft.

Thanks for the pictures!

Dude, you have to see it, its an amazing movie (though I may be biased)! It catches a lot flack for not being "Politically Correct" with how it handles the fires and the firemen, from the offspring of firemen [no offense], but despite this, Backdraft is a well executed adventure/thriller movie with some top notch acting (particularly from Russell). One of the first R movies I remember seeing as a kid.

Thank you for the welcome Enigma.

A particularly cute image of Kate Hudson and Kurt Russell.

Kurt Russell in Drag, from Tango & Cash. This made me Facepalm and ROFL the first time I saw it because I actually thought it was a woman until it panned up to his face (he has some nice legs in that flick)!

Nominated in 1990 for Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress
For: Tango & Cash (1989)

A Cover for a CD he made.... Yeah, I didn't know he sang either, until I looked at this.

Kurt Russell is still awesome to this day.

Watch Death Proof.

However, I'll always remember him as Snake Plissken from John Carpenter's Escape from New York and the sequel, Escape from L.A.

I hope those two collaborate again soon.

Hehe, what luck. Death Proof's on Netflix's Instant Watch. Oh, so is The Mean Season.

I watched Death Proof a while ago, but was just a little lazy with leaving my opinion on it. Basically the best part of the film IS Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike. He plays the Villian role with such ease and is plain vile, but you like him anyways because he's charming...at first. This one of Kurt's best performances in his long list of awesome performances (though I may be biased). The first half-hour was the best part of the film; By the final act, however, they introduced a bunch of unlikable characters that I actually wanted dead as opposed to his first victims; There just nothing to like about them, they were utterly annoying.

Other problems I had with the film is that there were instances of just plain "talking" between all these chicks; I've never had a problem with Dialouge in the film, and despite my eagerness to see Kurt Russell, those two sequences featuring Mike's would-be victims were just overblown and riddled with far too much needless profanity. This is one of the main reasons why Death Proof just fell apart for me.

The sudden reverse in Stuntman Mike's character seriously left my mouth open; It was hillariously shocking! "Wuss" pretty much the word that came to mind, but that's a human for ya. Watching Kurt get his ass kicked at the end was funny.

Oh, and did anybody notice Jack Burton's [Big Trouble In Little China] Wife-beater hanging up on the Bar Wall in the beginning of the film?

Yay, another fan! I've probably seen 18 out of his 41+ film year career.
