Joe Wright... in the deleted scenes commentary talking about a scene with Leon and Cee... Patrick (too lazy to look up his last name) Joe makes the comment that he thinks Patrick just liked the idea of being able to touch Keira's leg.

oh yeha!! i remember that deleted scene. the guy, patrick, kept suggesting to joe that there was an incestuous thing going on with leon & cee...and joe was like, "i think he wanted to think that b/c he was working with keira."

Ian McEwan's novels tend to have incest connotations in them... (I would not know as Atonement is the only one I've read) Joe said... so Patrick was playing on that Joe said.. and Joe thought Patrick just liked the idea of being able to touch her leg.

It would have been interesting... not for Patrick's incest logic, to see that scene in the film. Would have shown just how much Cecilia cared for her family so when she leaves and we see her as the nurse it's more of a .. and that chocolate drink looks disgusting!

well, cee kissing leon on the lips when she greeted them kinda had my eyebrow raised a little. i was like, "she's really comfy with her bro." but then, i thought that it could've been the times..and it wasn't til i saw that deleted scene & patrick suggesting the incest thing that it came to mind.

yeah, but i already had that feeling from cee, b/c she hung out with briony, and kept leon company when paul was around and such. but yeah, her ex-communicating her family after the whole thing with robbie goes down was very saddening.

The whole movie was sad... My eyes hurt and I couldn't see when I walked out of the theater because I cried so much... Keira and company did such a wonderful job.

(funny thing happened before I went in... I saw Gene Simmons [from Kiss or Gene Simmons Family Jewels] walk into the men's room)

I work at Jo~Ann Fabrics... But I saw "Atonement" at The Grove near Farmer's Market.

I'm such a sap that I cry at lot of things... The Duchess had me wailing too!

let's see... what Keira movies haven't made me cry?

Bend it Like Beckham, uh... Stories of Lost Souls I think that is it! Love Actually did make me cry but it wasn't Keira's parts.

I cried in that... and if you notice... in my list of movies she's in that I did not cry in? POTC and Star Wars are not on it... so yes, I even cried watching Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Menace. oh yeah... yes, I cried watching Princess of Thieves the first time.

I think Atonement, The Duchess, Silk and Doctor Zhivago have made me cry the most..

Happy, sad? I cry.
