They can't really go on with the star on hold, unless they are doing extras shots.

these movies usually have huge budgets and schedules to make with them. So it makes me wonder if it's going to get made at all now

I can't see them trashing the movie, I would assume that the filming that is going on is for every other extra scene that they usually do at the end or any reshoots that need to be done that don't include him.

Hmmm. Well, the article said production was "minimally impacted"
Sounds kinda odd but that sounds like they are filming without him
until he can come back.

I just did a google search for any news and the same is reported as you posted twilightfan14, that production will be minimally impacted.

But there are so many other actors scenes to film like Barbossa, Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar and the two newcomers as well.

Yes, like I said, sounds odd but maybe he's not gonna be gone
for long. Or they could write the injury into the script somehow.
I guess someone will write an article when he goes back to set,
we hope? So we'll know what's going on.
