I've got Jewel as a friend on MySpace (not a real friend but you know...). Her blogs are hilarious - and she's still in touch with Nathan Fillion. Cool.
She was my favourite character on Firefly - it's a traversty that that show was cancelled. Please will you add me as a fan? Thanks  __________________

Anyone know if Jewel and Morena are still tight? Wasn't Morena Jewel's maid of honor at her wedding if I remember correctly.

Yeah, the first Serenity didn't do all that well, so sadly I have a feeling the Firefly universe is over

I think Serenity did well, I mean for a cancelled tv show, sequels of movies never happen, but it did because fans rallied for it. Serenity has to be doing pretty well if they're releasing a collector's edition of it. I believe Joss was the one who mentioned a sequel, so it's just not wishful thinking by a fan. If it happens I'd be incredibly happy.

I wasn't insinuating that it was a fan's lofty idea, but Joss would have alot of trouble getting the money to get a greenlight.

Yeah I agree. I think perhaps they've all moved on now too. I saw Serenity without seeing Firefly first and it didn't pull on me. I think that's where they went wrong. It's gutting though because I loved Jewel as Kaylee and I haven't seen her in anything since (I'm in the UK). Hopefully in the future!

Yeah, Jewel had this great likeability as Kaylee, she was accessible and could pull off the sweet and innocent without being one note about it.

From Jewel's blog, she says there's been talk of a new Serenity but nothing serious. She speculated on what would e a good story line (all tongue in cheek of course
