this girl who once was a skier but her career got broken early because of a nasty accident, and she tries to get by in life and one time she gets an assisstant job at a rich guy's and after a while she has to organize poker nights for him and his other wealthy friends. she learns a lot from them about the game and all the business stuff they talk about there and gets tipped a lot too but she soon gets fired for no reason basically and she wants to get back at him. so she invites the same people all the time to her new place and start her own game nights. then the guys convince her to invite new people who happen to be real shady actually and some of them are real violent mobsters as well. she even gets hurt real bad one time and wants to stop all this cause it got way too risky but it turns out that one member at the poker night was an FBI agent and she's accused of making deals with the Russian mob and such. they take all her money and want her to confess and give up the names of all those guys who were there, but she hires a very good lawyer and tries to get out of this somehow. don't wanna spoil the end but it's really amazing how she fights for her truth and that so many bad things happen to her but she refuses to give up it's a true story btw
