Well he also did this series before Fifty Shades.
I loved the concept of the show as well, with him, the serial killer and then onscreen duality with Gillian Anderson as the Inspector. They played really well off of one another. |

That was partly why the series ended after season 3, his movie career was taking off, so they closed off the series with a solid ending.
Fifty Shades got him on the radar and he was able to pick more roles then just auditioning and hoping to get hired. |

haha I'm curious now!
I'm glad sometimes show end on a high creative note, I hate it when shows go past that and jump the shark several times, it's hard to rebound from that and get back to that good old times __________________
