“I attented school in Jabiru, Kakadu National park, for Grade 3 in 1994 and was there for a year. Half the kids I went to school with were aboriginal and half of them were not. It was a powerful and wonderful learning experience. We learnt about Dreamtime stories and ‘bush tucker’ – how to survive in the wild. The local Aboriginal people were very beautiful, wise and genuine teachers and friends. I loved going for picnic lunches to Nourlangie Rock and Barramundi Gorge. I love nature and its serene essence.”
