Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are expecting their first child together, a source close to the couple confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. "They're very excited," says the source, adding that the actress, 31, is due in the fall. Gellar, who has been married to Prinze, 33, for six years, will next shoot the HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladays, for which she serves as an executive producer. Prinze recently shot the comedy pilot No Heroics for ABC.

Some sad news. I know I'm a little late in posting this...

LOS ANGELES-Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," has died. She was 86. She died peacefully at her Los Angeles home early Saturday with her family at her side, family spokesman Dan Watt said. She would have been 87 on May 13. Arthur had cancer, Watt said, declining to give further details. "She was a brilliant and witty woman," said Watt, who was Arthur's personal assistant for six years. "Bea will always have a special place in my heart." Arthur first appeared in the landmark comedy series "All in the Family" as Edith Bunker's loudly outspoken, liberal cousin, Maude Finley. She proved a perfect foil for blue-collar bigot Archie Bunker (Carroll O'Connor), and their blistering exchanges were so entertaining that producer Norman Lear fashioned Arthur's own series. In a 2008 interview with The Associated Press, Arthur said she was lucky to be discovered by TV after a long stage career, recalling with bemusement CBS executives asking about the new "girl." "I was already 50 years old. I had done so much off-Broadway, on Broadway, but they said, 'Who is that girl? Let's give her her own series,'" Arthur said. "Maude" scored with television viewers immediately on its CBS debut in September 1972, and Arthur won an Emmy Award for the role in 1977.

Penelope Cruz Gets Food Poisoning in Cannes Monday May 18, 2009 At least it's not the swine flu. Penelope Cruz was sidelined by food poisoning while in Cannes, France, on Monday. See who showed up to the Cannes Film Festival last year. The Oscar-winning actress, who was at the film festival to premiere her movie, Broken Embraces, was also scheduled to promote her upcoming musical, Nine. She was slated to present a trailer and teaser for the film with Harvey Weinstein, but Cruz was too sick to make an appearance. See some of Cannes' worst-dressed attendees. "She is getting better and is seeing a doctor right now," Weinstein said at a press conference. He said that she will be back to full health by Tuesday, adding that "tomorrow night is her premiere for her movie." Cruz's film, Nine -- which costars Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson and Fergie -- will premiere in November.

Parminder Nagra, best known for her role as Dr. Neela Rasgotra on NBC's ER, has welcomed a baby boy. "Parminder Nagra and her husband James Stenson are thrilled to announce the birth of their son, Kai David Singh Stenson," her rep tells Usmagazine.com exclusively. "He was born on Tuesday, May 19. Supermodel Adriana Lima is pregnant! The Victoria's Secret stunner is expecting her first child with new husband, NBA player Marko Jaric, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com. Guess the celebrity baby bump! The Brazilian model is due this winter. Lima and Jaric were engaged in June 2008, two years after they first met. The couple tied the knot in a private civil ceremony on Valentine's Day in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The couple are planning a big ceremony in either the bride's native Brazil or in the Memphis Grizzlies' player's native Serbia this summer. "We are so excited about our future together," Lima told Us in February. "And we are really looking forward to big romantic wedding this summer with all of our friends and family."
