Fan-friendly Celebs #1

I'm a big Bruce Willis fan and love visiting his official site because he also posts in the forums and talks to the people there, aside from maintaining a blog. This is not really news for some, but then I read this in his blog a while back:

Quote:
I had met a couple of members already at a couple of different shows, but did not know what to expect when I would meet over 50 members all in one place.

I got to Vegas Friday afternoon, and after soundchecking the band, ( where I met up with Slone, Erin and Darnum) I stopped by the blackjack tables to fool around with the cards. Now the Golden Nugget is not a big casino, and within a few minutes, peeps from the Site started coming over and introducing themselves. I had a big smile on my face, as did all these coll folks.

It has been said elsewhere here, but I will repeat it here in Notes.

It WAS like a big Family reunion.

I guess I mean that once our hello's were out of the way, we all started behaving like old friends- joking, laughing, and not worried at all about the fact that most of us had only known each other from cyberville.

and that was a very cool thing.

I was never treated like 'the little monkey in the zoo', something that usually is a regular part of my life. I felt comfortable with everyone there, and that is a rare thing for me to experience.

I truly enjoyed playing both nights, especially Saturday, and while I know there were other people at the shows that were not from BW.com, I know Brown and I felt like we were playing just for you peeps, and that is another rare thing.

My memory of this trip will be about the laughter, the dancing, the Whistle, the cards, the dice, all the sweet, personal gifts I got from y'all, Zak's, seeing each other the next day and going, "Whooooooo!!", the tatts, the continued laughing, and the sheer fun of combining Vegas with a bunch of really coll people. It makes me think about getting all 4000 of us together at a show sometime, preferably in Vegas!

I have been thanked a lot for my contribution to the weekend, but now it's my turn to thank all of YOU, because it could have happened very differently.

I think I got the best part of it.....

I remain,

your pal,

bw

An EB with fans in Vegas. How many celebs do that, eh?

Not a big Bruce Willis fan, but now I kinda wish I was. That's pretty cool.

It's just really cool how some celebs actually interact with their fans and stuff. Like, I like Ian Somerhalder more 'cause he posts on FF and joins games and stuff.

That's nice of Bruce Brendan Fehr used to post in his own FF board before as Spiderman (I don't know if he still posts on FF), and he even jokes about his post count

I thought this was a nice thread. It's 3 years old but if someone has any stories of cool celebes, well, let's hear 'em! Because people who are nice to their fans rock.

Michael Muhney posting on FF at the Veronica Mars forum and on his community at LJ.
He also arranged several meetings with his fans (who he prefer calling Hobbits)
And he's answering almost every email that someone sends him.
He's a really nice person.

ehehe I enter to write about Michael too.
He even came to Europe last year with his wife, and arranged meeting with fans in England, France and Italy. HE.IS.THE.BEST.

Don't know if Jake Gyllenhaal has ever contacted people on his board at FF, and I've never met him in person (oooh I wish) but he seems very fan-friendly and genuine. Lovely actor as well, I'm jealous of all the people who has ever met Jake.

Wentworth Miller is very nice too.
He came to Italy in march (or was it april?) and my friend went to Milan looking for him. She and some other girls found his hotel. When he saw they were like 20 people, he send his rep to announce to the girls that he was meeting them, in groups of 5 people each. He posed with everyone for pictures and he signed autographs. He didn't HAVE TO do that, but he did.
That is kinda nice.

Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen are awesome to their fans. If you get a chance to meet them, it's well worth it.

Great posts! I love reading them. When a celeb is nice, it makes you root harder for him. Appreciating the fans is a great sign.
