She's absolutely beautiful. When she smiles, it looks so geniune. I loved her in TDAT. Now I'm anxious to see 'Phantom'.

I was looking through the jne issue of YM and there was section where and interviewer talk to jake (gyllenhaal) and Emmy on the set of The Day After Tomorrow
heres a transcript

Interviewer : Whats it like to work in this kind of disaster movie?
Emmy : It's like doing water aerobics all daywearing wool clothes. Its simultaneously hot and cold., windy, and rainy total tourure
Interviewer : So why is it worth putting yourself through all that?
Jake : The environmental message is important to me. Not alot of people read about the environment, but if they see this movie they can learn about it. All the tsunamis and hurricans will happen if global warming continues at the current rate. i hope it'll show people that we as a country-and world- need to take action asap
Interviewer : Youre dealing with important issues on-screen, but it looks like youre having a lot of fun oo. Jake, I saw you dancing around, smacking your butt to get people to laugh.
Jake : I especially love messing with Austin [Nichols, who plays a rich kid who also wants to date laura]. e'll do a take and I'll say, "youre not reallly going to do it that are you?"
Emmy : I'm such a goofball. Arjay [Smith, who plays the nerdy comic relief guy] is teaching me to beat-box. I sing opera already so I want to be the first to be the first hip-hopera star
Jake : If anyone can she can. Emmy has such a presenc. when I met her at her audition, I thought I was audtioning for her

Gotta love those two.
Anways when i ge tto my new house i will scanning the june/ july issue of Elle Girl which features Ammy Rossum

Can't wait to see her in Phantom of the Opera. I think it'll turn out really well, especially since Emmy can really sing.

I thought Emmy did an excellent job in "The Day After Tomorrow". Jake Gyllenhaal (who is beautiful, by the way) is right; she does have a lot of presence onscreen. (Just wanted to mention that she and Jake have amazing onscreen chemistry and did an admirable job imbuing their characters with depth and complexity...well, as much as you can in a popcorn/blockbuster/disaster flick. They were one of the highlights of the film for me.) I read up a little on Emmy, and, wow, she is very accomplished and refined for a 17-year-old (I couldn't believe her age either). And, of course, very beautiful; she has such an engaging, sincere smile and such soulful eyes.

I haven't seen her in anything else, but she seems to be pretty respected in the industry already. I suspect she'll be a household name in the (near) future. Looking forward to seeing her in "Phantom of the Opera".

I think she's awesome! lol, I never seen TDAT. But I seen her in other roles and she's a great actress.

The only Brittany Murphy resemblance I see is her eyes. But still, very pretty

hey! I finally got a chance to see Nola, in its entireity, and what a wonderful actress Emmy is. I loved he character and I saw no resemblance to any of the other characters I've seen her play. And she is so beautiful in this movie it's not even funny

I've seen TDAT and Mystic River, and I think she rocks so much. I adore her. I'm so excited about the Phantom!

Anyway, I made Fan-Art.
