yeah, scheduling conflicts and unsigned contracts have resulted in quite a few big casting changes over the years, always a shame but i'm sure the talented Emma Watson will fill in the role quite nicely. also, actors sometimes delay signing contracts because there isn't yet a finished script, a director, maybe some other leading cast members not signed, troubled production houses and union conflicts, all sorts of reasons that sometimes we never know. that writer's strike several years back, really back-logged the studios for quite a while.
