Rita and Will get the J-Squad to hijack a transport to raid the Brain which is buried under the Louvre Museum in Paris. Alphas bring down the transport just short of the Louvre and pretty much all the squad gets wasted by mimics, but Rita and Will make it into the lower level parking garage. Rita sacrifices herself to allow Will that last minute to dive down the flooded basement chasm to hit the Brain with a belt of grenades, since they were both out of ammunition and the last Alpha was going to kill them both anyway. Rita gives him a hard kiss and last words of 'i wish we had more time' before distracting away the Alpha to her death. Will dives down the water trench after seeing her ripped apart by the Alpha, and Will barely has time to throw the grenade belt into the Brain as the Alpha is just about on top of him. the grenades destroy the Brain, all the mimics and Alpha die too, as they were slaved drones to the hive-mind Brain. Will is enveloped in the blue blood of the Brain as it dies, and suddenly he awakes in the helicopter over London, resetting the day before the Invasion by the EU forces. Will relives the day this time for real, and meets up with Rita in the training room, it ends there as she gets up from her pushups and says 'is there something on my face, soldier?!' as he is looking at her longingly. they get another chance together.
