| Daren Kagasoff Appreciation : Because he's the baddest good guy on the block! Daren Kagasoff  Groupies: 1.) Mrs.Kagasoff  by Kayslee Daren was born and raised in Encino, California to a wholesome diamond dealer and a designer, Kagasoff, is the middle of three children. While attending San Francisco State University, Kagasoff decided that what he really wanted to do was follow his dreams of being an actor. So, he headed back to Los Angeles and landed a lead role in the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center production of subUrbia, a play based on the film of the same name starring Parker Posey, Giovanni Ribisi and Steve Zahn. Kagasoff played alcoholic slacker, Tim, who struggled to find purpose in the inevitable ennui of suburban life. However the play got terrible reviews. So Daren then began taking acting lessons and on his 5th audition he landed the role as "Ricky" on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
