Can't wait until I'm able to see the new episode.

I have to admit from what I've seen... I'm not really feeling Emma's acting either. And I just don't feel she was right for Belle. But I haven't seen the movie yet and things could change once I see it.

I love Emma (obviously) but there was one scene where I have to agree with my sister that she failed to embody what the Belle (in animated form actually) possessed in the original movie.

I need to find a copy to watch "The Guest" or look for it on our local Netflix. I know I checked before and it's not there but I'll check it again.

See that's pretty much how I feel about her from what I seen. She just doesn't seem to capture Belle and her essence at all to me. She seems very lackluster in the acting and singing. But I might feel different or mostly different once I've seen it.

What was the scene?

I know US iTunes and Amazon have it for rent for 3.99 (or at least Amazon not sure iTunes pricing). But not sure about other countries.

they autotuned her singing a ton in the movie. emma was the weakest in the movie. but i thought she did an ok job with the role. but i didnt think she really brought anything to the role. anyone could have done what she did.

How was Dan as the Beast?

Heather, the first scene with Belle singing "Belle". That part was so lively and fun in the animated movie. Emma was just walking around and she looked tired (while singing). Dan as the Beast was really good. The Beast's emotions and facial expressions was very Dan-like as I can imagine Dan doing those expressions if the face of the Beast wasn't CGI.

Jen, they auto-tuned everyone but I agree, she was the weakest. My surprise favorite was Maurice. I did like all the Maurice/Belle moments a lot. Luke as Gaston was good, they made him more evil here. Josh as LeFou was also good. I'm glad they give the Beast/Dan a solo cause in the animated movie, he never had one.

Yeah I saw some of that scene and I agree. She lacks a lot of energy and presence. Voice wise she doesn't sound horrible but I was expecting something much different than that from who ever they got to play Belle. And I'm even a fan of some celebs singing voices who other people have called weak singers but even when I heard Emma's I was .

Glad to hear that. Can't wait to see him.

I didn't have a problem with Emma's singing and I can't really compare her to Paige O'Hara. At least she didn't 'oversing' it. The acting was spotty in some parts but the movie overall is good.

Lindsay - Yeah it's definitely not fair to compare her to Paige or the movie to the animated version but I'm sure it's happening (and I'll probably even do it to once I watch... even if it's just a little).
