Classic Hollywood Starlets #1

After spending some time on the Classic Hollywood Couples thread on the Couples board, I decided to see if I could start a Classic Hollywood Starlets thread as well...there are so many gorgeous and talented classic Hollywood stars that set the bar for entertainment. They definitely shouldn't be forgotten.

Some of my favorites are Vivien Leigh, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Deborah Kerr, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Natalie Wood, Judy Garland...and there are so many more! Those are just a few.

Anyone else like them? I thought they deserved a thread. I've been having an old movie marathon.

I have an obsession with Audrey Hepburn. She's so beautiful! I like all of the others you have listed as well.

AHhhhhhh! YAY! So glad that I found this thread!
*cough*thanks Leah*cough*

I've totally gotten into finding pics of these classic beauties and coloring them, making icons with 'em (note mine, ) and such. I LOVE the old black and white movies. And the way that those women looked; they were just so beautiful. I just...I love it.

Well I absolutely adore Marilyn Monroe. I have boxsets of all her movies, I got them for my birthday and I'm slowly working through them!

Natalie Wood is another actress I like, she's just beautiful.

Sophia: I've never seen anything with Marilyn or Natalie I dunno why I've always wanted to watch Marilyn's movies though....I need to get on that

Last week while I was on vacation, I watched Suddenly Last Summer with Katharine Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. It was pretty good And I also watched I Take This Woman with Hedy Lamarr...that woman was gorgeous, I swear!

I love, love, love classic actresses. Even though there are many living actresses that I love, they just don't have the same appeal to me.

It would be hard for me to pick clear favorites, but here are twenty of the most unforgettable to me: Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Ava Gardner, Judy Garland, Rita Hayworth, Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Deborah Kerr, Vivien Leigh, Carole Lombard, Marilyn Monroe, Ginger Rogers, Barbara Stanwyck, Elizabeth Taylor, Gene Tierney.

They just had this way of, I dunno. It's so hard to explain. Like, you look at a picture of an actress these days doing a pose that one of the classic actresses did, and ....I dunno, it's taken, imo at least, so differently, know what I mean? I dunno, it's just really awesome to me.

Wow...I'm working on icons with a lot of those lovely ladies

There is an Ava Gardner museum about 2 hours from my house...I think I know it's not THAT far away...

Leah: Breakfast at Tiffany's is such an adorable movie Sabrina is one of my all-time faves
