‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ Update: Framework Has Released VFX Reel Of Knowhere; Director James Gunn Explains Little Groot Dancing Behavior During The End Clip : Entertainment : Yibada

Recently, a VFX reel has been released online together with the explanation on Baby Groot's dancing at the end of the first film of "Guardians of the Galaxy". Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" is an action-adventure film starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star Lord, Zoe saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket's voice, and Vin Diesel as Groot's voice. James Gunn spearheaded the film. Since its release on August 01, 2014, "Guardians of the Galaxy" has grossed an estimate of $774 million worldwide. Framestore, a visual effects company that contributed to the film's success, has released a VFX reel featuring the effects that gave life to the scenes in 'Knowhere', a mining colony. It also showed Rocket and Peter Quill flying in their space-pods, and are being chased by Ronan's subordinates. Framestore talked about the VFX with Comicbook. "We built Knowhere, our most complicated environment to date, for Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" and then staged a dog-fight that explored every inch of it. Here we've linked up all our shots in the 4-mile wide and 1.2 polygon world," Framestone said. On the other news, Director Gunn explained in the podcast for "Doug Love Movies" the reason behind the end scene involving Baby Groot and Drax, as per Screenrant. When asked about the reason why Baby Groot did not want to be caught dancing by Drax, the directr's reply was: "There was actually a scene that we cut from the movie where big Groot was dancing to 'Livin' Thing' by ELO, and it wasn't such an elaborate dance. It was more that he was just moving up and down like this, and Drax was dismissive and gave him this look like he was a loser when he did that," he said. "Dancing is ludicrous to Drax. I don't think he understands it. If Drax owned a town, if he was a mayor, the first would be no dancing. But yeah, so at the end of the movie, little baby Groot didn't want to get caught dancing, because he would kill him," explained by the director. Previous reports revealed that some characters will be returning together with the Guardians, including Nebula, The Collector, Yondu, and Kraglin. It is also expected to meet Peter Quill's father in the sequel while rumors question if baby Groot will become the same big Groot or will grow as a different one. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is slated to premiere in theaters and cinemas on July 28, 2017.

Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse have called it quits. The American Sniper actor and the model split after two years of dating, a source tells PEOPLE. Cooper's rep could not be reached for comment, while Waterhouse's declined comment. The couple ended their relationship before the Oscars in January but remained friends and attended the award show together, the source says. They were even spotted dining at Nobu Malibu with another pal the next night, though an onlooker says they didn't seem affectionate during the meal. Cooper, 40, spent Wednesday night at an Elton John concert, later partying at Surrender Nightclub in Encore at Wynn Las Vegas with Jonah Hill and Miles Teller as Lil Jon performed. The guys are in Sin City to shoot Arms & the Dues, a flick directed by Todd Phillips and produced by Cooper. He and Waterhouse, 23, were first linked in March 2013, when they were photographed looking cozy on set in Boston. Though they kept their romance under wraps, Cooper took Waterhouse as his date to the 2014 SAG Awards and she escorted him to a White House state dinner in February 2014. The stars remained tight-lipped throughout the relationship, but in an ELLE UK interview, Waterhouse did reveal when Cooper first caught her eye: the ELLE Style Awards in February 2013. "I don't talk about my boyfriend because it's boring," she told the magazine. "But we did meet at the Style Awards, I’ll give you that. Look, maybe it's best for me to say, 'I'm not one of those girls who goes on about their boyfriends.' I do think whatever I say will sound weird. As of late, an insider told Us, she even was warming Cooper up to the idea of marriage. A Star is Born follows young woman with dreams of becoming a star who meets a self-destructive Hollywood icon. The original 1937 film was directed by William Wellman and starred Fredric March and Janet Gaynor. Subsequent remakes were made at Warner Bros in 1954 with director George Cukor and stars Judy Garland and James Mason, and 1976 with Frank Pierson directing Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand. Cooper is fresh off his Oscar nomination for American Sniper, and currently performing The Elephant Man in the play’s London transfer from Broadway.

A movie review of “Serena”: A Depression-era timber baron (Bradley Cooper) crosses paths with a flinty, forest-wise woman (Jennifer Lawrence) in this flat melodrama. Rating: 1.5 stars out of 4.

In her native Denmark, director Susanne Bier makes intimate, emotional and even allegorical dramas such as “After the Wedding” and “In a Better World.”

In Hollywood, she’s a little lost, shoehorned into flat melodramas such as “Things We Lost in the Fire” and her latest, “Serena.” A period piece that offered most of those involved a chance to try something new on the screen, “Serena” just lies there, a bloodstained bore.

Bradley Cooper plays a Depression-era timber baron racing to clear-cut the mountains before the feds turn the land into the Smoky Mountains National Park. He’s not subtle about his rapaciousness. By the time that park is announced, he declares, “There won’t be a tree standing.”

‘Serena,’ with Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Rhys Ifans, Toby Jones, David Dencik. Directed by Susanne Bier, from a screenplay by Christopher Kyle, based on a novel by Ron Rash. 109 minutes. Rated R for some violence and sexuality. Guild 45th.

He’s almost as cavalier about his rural workforce. Pemberton Lumber is an accident-prone enterprise. His loyal aide, Buchanan (David Dencik), may forgive; his mysterious, superstitious hunting guide (Rhys Ifans, creepy) may understand. But the man’s mania for milking this land for all it’s worth so that he can then head to Brazil, where he can wipe out the rain forest, is myopic.

“I can assure you, Mr. Buchanan, I didn’t come to the Carolinas to do needlepoint.”

She shares Pemberton’s life and business and bed.

But he earlier impregnated a hill woman, which complicates things. His accounting is suspect and there are bribes floating around to keep the Park Service at bay. Toby Jones plays the mistrusting local sheriff.

Cooper and Lawrence get to do things on horseback, swing an ax like they’ve done it before and play intimate scenes they’ve never had the chance to on screen. They don’t create much heat.

There’s not much to this, between the bloody lumbering and hunting “accidents,” no urgency or passion to the story or the performing of it.

Bier takes on this “mysterious world” as just that, but her eye-view offers no insights. And whatever Ron Rash’s novel had to offer, Bier has rendered it into something soapy, with everything compelling about it washed out.

The one mystery of the universe I never figured out was what Bradley's character was meant to be on The Hangover (the first part, I never saw the others)

Was his character meant to be a guy still trying to hold on to being a pretty boy/ his youth? Despite the fact he was the telegenic one (the equivalent of Beyonce on her Destiny Child days ) of the then-unfamous cast?

Either way The Hangover did propel his name forward in Hollywood even if he doesnt want to own up to his involvement in the other 2 movies in the franchise
