I have to agree, Girl, Interrupted is my favorite.

I love all of her movies, but Girl, Interrupted just stands out.

The movie as a whole was pretty phenomenal. All the performances were great, but especially hers.

She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for that role too.

What I loved most about that role is that Angelina herself seems to be a woman who is in control of her life and her character was the opposite, out of control, no direction in life and living as though she was already dead.

It was a moving role and she was perfectly cast!

Agreed.

She acted almost completely on impulse.. a truth sociopath, and yet Angelina managed to convey sympathy and emotion for her character in the role. Amazing.

I love the scene at the end when she's going off and yelling and is like "I push buttons, why doesn't anyone ever push mine"...or something like that.

It was just really raw.

That scene was really heartbreaking.

Lisa was such a tortured character. It's hard to believe she existed in some form in real life.

^^ That's true, I forgot it was based on the book written by Susanna of her experiences.

I actually would like to read the book to see what was left out of the movie.

I'm frustrated with something and would like everyone's opinion on the matter.

I'm sure everyone has heard or seen the News stories and tabloids about how they are pitting Angelina and Jennifer against one another in regards to Brad.

The thing that is bothering me is that, in a recent magazine interview, Angelina confessed that she would love to one day, sit down with the kids and watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith because she says, it's rare for kids to see the moments in which their parents fell in love.

I'm not sure on the exact quote, but it was something like that.

I know that at the time Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston so feelings may have been hurt by the remark in the interview, but from what's coming from Jennifer's end, she has replied by saying something along the lines of how she thought that was 'uncool' of Angelina to say that.

The frustration I have is that, people seem to be on 'Jennifer's' side as though Angelina stole Brad.

I don't like how the implication is trying to trash Angelina in a way.

Plus, not once has Jennifer made any comment in regards to how Brad supports Angelina, as though it wasn't his fault he fell in love with Angelina, it's as though the implication is that Angelina stole Brad.

When in reality, they fell in love with one another, they tried to deny it, but it was real, so rather than 'cheating' on Jennifer he divorced her.

Am I alone in feeling like Angelina is under attack and that Jen is made out to be some victim?

I loved Jennifer on Friends, and I'm sorry her marriage to Brad didn't work out, but Brad was a part of it too, not just Angelina.

Sorry, this is getting to be a long post, but it really frustrates me.

I understand where you're coming from, and I can see both sides.

On one hand, I think it is obvious that Brad and Angelina have been really great for each other. They have a stable family and seem very happy together.

On the other hand, I do pity Jen for what she went through. Even though it was definitely a two-player game, having your husband fall in love with someone else has to be a heartbreaking thing to go through.

I agree. I don't want it to seem like I'm going against Jennifer, that's not it, but I'm just tired of seeing media conjure up stories and things from a simple quote, which is usually taken out of context you know.

Melika, I get where you're coming from. It's just that Brad & Jen were total media darlings while they were married, and them divorcing just kinda rocked the whole world. I just think with the back & forths coming and going, it's the media who's trying to stir it up even more. And, I do commend all sides for staying private [as much as they can] about their private lives. But I guess when Angelina said the whole "movie where parents fell in love," I guess Jen just didn't want it hinted that Brad fell for another woman while he was still married to her. But the media's going to try and make money off of Brangelina & Jen, and it sucks for them, but yeah...I'm tired too. I'm sure they all are.

Even if Angelina didn't make the comment about the movie 'where parents fell in love', denying the truth, which is what it seems Jennifer was sort of doing doesn't help either.

I do agree, when Jen and Brad were together, they did seem like media darlings and their divorce did rock the media.

But the media trying to rock their lives more is what is so annoying. I mean it's been four years since the divorce and two pregnancies for Angelina and the media is still hung up on Jen and Brad.

It's just odd to me that the media is hanging on to Brad and Jen as long as they have. It's like, they've moved on, the media needs to move on too.

Anyway, enough of this topic, I don't want to bring anyone down, I guess I just felt the need to say something as it was bothering me.

Last comment on that, I think she was just trying to keep what was private, private.

But I'm with you...I'm tired myself. As long as Brad, Angie & Jen are all out there doing what they do...media's never gna stop. It could be 10years, and they'll still talk about it.

And, that's my 2 cents.

So has anyone seen the Changeling?

I really want to see it, but will probably wait for the DVD.

I read a little about the story it's based on, Clint Eastwood picks great stories to work with!

I didn't see it, either. But I read up on the story it's based on. Such a terrible tradgedy!! I remembering reading one of the actors took the role [of the mayor? DA?] b/c he was amazed at how he could just say, "lock her up, she's crazy!" and they did.
