Justin Theroux on Spending Time Apart From Wife Jennifer Aniston: 'It's Horrible!'

Justin Theroux and wife Jennifer Aniston have been doing a bit of a long-distance romance in their first few months as husband and wife while he films his show The Leftovers in Texas.

"It's horrible being apart from your spouse," Theroux, 44, told Extra at the HBO drama's Austin premiere, which also marked the couple's first red carpet appearance as a married duo.

"She's been here a bunch of times and visited, I sneak back when I can go see her - we make it work."

And given their busy schedules, just how do they make it work? With a little help from modern technology.

"We FaceTime, we call and text but when you're on set, the hours are so long, so you're really waiting for the weekend where you can depressurize and have longer conversations," the Zoolander 2 screenwriter shared.

Theroux and Aniston, 46, wed on Aug. 5 at their Bel Air, California home in front of family and famous friends including her Friends pals Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow as well as Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Sandra Bullock, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, with Jimmy Kimmel officiating the ceremony.

Following their friend-filled honeymoon in Bora Bora, Theroux has been busy promoting the second season of The Leftovers – and gushing about married life.

"It's fantastic," he told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. "Something really does shift in a wonderful way and it refocuses things and in a weird way, it was a long time coming."

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux 'Still Act Like They Are in the Honeymoon Phase'!

But absence appeared to make the heart grow fonder, as Aniston, 46, and Theroux, 44, "seemed very much infatuated with each other" when they arrived at The Leftovers premiere Saturday night, says an onlooker.

"They were very close and cuddly" on the red carpet, adds the onlooker, who notes Aniston blew kisses to her husband as he did interviews.
