Jennifer Aniston - Friends Episode Discussion #1- The One With The Sonogram At The End

So after talking this over with Jenna, we decided it would be cool if we had episode discussions, yes Friends isn't on the air currently, but we thought it would be nice.

So here's how it works, each week we will go in order and have discussions, so this week we will focus on the pilot episode. So thoughts on the episode? What did you like, what didn't you like, why you liked Jen in the episode, fave quotes, what made you fall in love with Jen in that episode, basically whatever you want, although it's totally a bonus if you make it relate to Jen.

So this is for Friends, we will go through each season, then break for a Jen movie, then do another season, that way it's not like Friends all the time.

So discussion on. I'll post my thoughts after I rewatch the episode.

Rules (I don't think any of this would happen, since the Jen board is filled with nice people, but it's always nice to have rules, just in case)

1. No bashing of any kind it won't be tolerated.
2. Please only discuss the episode that we are talking about that week, if you bring up other episodes it gets confusing.
3. Please be nice to each other, you can not agree with someone's opinion, but please don't attack them for the way they feel about the episode.
4. Most of all have fun rewatching Friends episodes and thinking about why you liked each episode or why you didn't.

Rachel's entrance onto the show - Ross' line before "I just want to be married" and then followed by Chandler's "And i want a million dollars" always cracks me up!

Ohh, episode discussions!!

I agree with Jenna, there's no way better for Rachel to be introduced to the show than how it was done

Right there, their frst scene and we already knew Ross and Rachel were set to be together

Also, the friendship Monica and Rachel have. I think that's one of the most amazing things in Friends, how they'd made the whole group so tight and close, but then you'd get those unique friendships like Mon/Rach, Chan/Joey, Phoebe/Joey and so on... and Monica and Rachel's friendship is one of the most amazing things ever seen on tv friendships!

Yeah the "And I just want a million dollars" is the most amazing line in the whole episode

I love this episode, is one of my favorites of Friends. I love how Rachel is introduced to the show too, I agree that the i just want a million dollars is great

even i'm not a R/R shipper i really enjoy the scene when they're alone in the living room and both want the last cookie 'you take it, you really wanted it' and when Ross says that he had a mejor crush on her and she says she knew

I love love love this episode. Rachel was introduced great. The RnR moment at the end was love. And I love how we got a sample of all the friends personalities. I

Phoebe's songs. I love when they were all watching the spanish soap opera except Rachel and they were like push her down the stairs, push her down the stairs and then they all cheered when it happened.

My fave quotes

"How much Barry looks like Mr. Potato Head."

It's like all my life everyone has always told me you're a shoe, you're a shoe, you're a shoe, you're a shoe, and then today I just stopped and I said , what if I don't want to be a shoe, what if I want to be a purse, you know, or a hat, no I don't want you to buy me a hat, I'm saying that I am a hat, it's a metaphor daddy."

Ad I agree with all of you - i think it was a great episode to start an awesome TV show - you knew from the very beginning this show as going to be a hit

yay, episode discussions! I don't have the DVDs, but I've watched it enough to remember everything. LOL.

really quick, since I missed the Pilot. I loved Rachel, immediately she was my favorite character, Jen was fabulous, and immediately caught my attention over the others. and I LOVE how Rachel was introduced on the show.

I know poor Episode discussion died out. I think we'll still do the One With the Sonogram at the end, at least until July when I can come back and start the next episode discussion, unless Jenna wants to start a new episode discussion after this week.

I just got the complete series, it's used, but hey I don't mind, it's the entire series and the special booklet.
