My dissent - Slashy stuff is funny on the show. I like to laugh at it when guest characters assume stuff about the boys. But as a fan I'm not into Wincest at all.

I'm anti-wincest, but for some reason, I think it's adorable when they're mistaken for a gay couple. I love their quick, "brothers, dude! We're just brothers!" lol It's just cute how they react to it.

Anyway, I had an epiphany today about Sammy and Dean. I realized how much they are like Timmy and Frank on Homicide. Timmy & Frank were on fire as a team, one completed the other. Timmy had kept secrets from Frank, and while Frank never thought Timmy was a freak, Frank seemed hurt that Timmy didn't tell him. Frank also had a stroke at a very young age. I equate this to Dean dying and going to hell. Then, of course, came when Frank was shot and left the police force. Timmy was absolutely lost without Frank. And Frank, while he still had his family, had to go into a completely different line of work, something he could do by himself. In the end, Timmy killed himself, and while I don't think Sammy is going to do that, it's just that Timmy went though a lot of the same moral questioning that Sammy does all the time.

Yeah I waited for the longest time to buy them on sale! And that means it'll be more than a year before I can get S4!

Aw.

Sounds like a good show, I regret missing it, everyone always talks about it! I think you are correct as well, the boys have more or less killed themselves when the other dies. It's so tragic and wow, chilling.

You'd think that now that I have the DVD the temptation the just watch the eps I haven't seen yet would be stronger. But strangely it's not. I even avoid looking at the episode descriptions.
