It's so sad that Sam is having to be the reasonable one in all of this - I don't get the writers here. Why bring her back and then have her disappear?

You'd think she'd be happy that whatever heaven 80s timewarp she was stuck in, she finally gets the chance to know her boys in the flesh.

I don't care too much that she used to be a hunter. I want to see her in the role that Sam and Dean missed out on, being their mom.

Yeah, they concentrated on her coming back rather than her being motherly. She had a moment or two, but I'm wondering if she even knows how to be a mom. Dean was only 4 & Sam an infant, & remember we were shown a couple of times that Mary & John wasn't a perfect couple.

I don't know if the show is trying to be subversive or something by making Mary out to be kind of crappy at looking after her boys, and focusing on her amazing hunter abilities, but I think they need to honour the fact that Mary didn't want to be a hunter.
