Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) tells Bobby (Jim Beaver) he will give him the location of Death (guest star Julian Richings), the fourth horseman, in exchange for his soul. Knowing Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) need that fourth ring to stop the Apocalypse, Bobby reluctantly agrees. Sam and Dean confront Pestilence (guest star Matt Frewer), but he unleashes a deadly virus upon them, so Castiel (Misha Collins) must intervene on their behalf. Dean has a meeting with Death to discuss Lucifer, and an unholy alliance is formed at a very high price for Dean.

One of the best 1st part setups ever! Yeah, it was a Dean episode, but all he did was talk about Sam. More later.

Loved it. Bobby was so great! I knew that he sold his soul and I was disappointed in him but it makes sense at least why he did it. He did have reasons and they weren't selfish he didn't ask for his legs back like most people would do but he ended up getting them anyways.
My favorite part though was Bobby talking to Dean about Sam and how there is so much good in Sam and how he believes that Sam can fight the devil or at least die trying to. I am just so glad that someone other than us finally sees that and I hope that Dean realizes that too. I think ever since last year with the whole demon blood thing its hard for Dean to remember that there is good left in Sam. All he knows is that the dark side can come out at any minute and he's been focused on that so much he forgets how great a heart that Sammy still has and that he will always be willing to fight it. And also I think Bobby's right, Dean is way more afraid of losing his brother again than losing the war.
Sam totally rocked this episode saving all those people, it was so great to see him just never giving up he just kept going back and back until he got them all. That is what I have always loved about him, he doesn't stop fighting to save people he never gives up no matter what the cost and it was great to see that again

@Angelface: Couldn´t agree you more. Jared was so so awesome in that epi.Then when Sam was in that warehouse, how he was saving all the people oh and then Bobby´s look. Full of pride..... And his words to Dean. That they were very hard to Sam and that´s something dark in him but that there is so much good in him... Awwwww Bobby i love ya. And then Dean´s: I know...
Can´t wati for the next epi. The Scenes that i saw: OMG

I couldn´t agree more with your two Jaredina and angelface. I am scared about this episode but I although can´t wait to see it because I know how great Jared will be. It will be is moment to shine and shows everyone what an incredible actor he has become.


After first watching this episode I couldn´t express my feelings at all. I was so overwhelmed with everything. Now I watched it for the second time and give it a try.

I really love this episode that’s for sure!!!

I was glad to see Cas around again and he was so great rescueing them in the beginning and totally badass in the Warehouse scene. And I love it when he tells Bobby that he didn´t get his version of Good news. Great delivery from Misha.

Pestilence was soooo gross with all the slim and I was so releaved when he died.
Death what can you say about Death other then he had an awesome first entry and his scene with Dean was terrific and scary in such a good way.

I even like Crowley in this episode. In the last one I was pretty much annoyed with him but this time he was so funny popping in and out of the scenes. Especially in the carscene when they finally found Death. Mark and Jensens interaction in that scene is truly great and I couldn´t stop laughing.
And I had happy tears in my eyes when Bobby started walking again. I didn´t except such a nice thing from Crowley and was pleasantly surprised by it. And the looks from all four involved speak louder then thousand words.

Jensen was sooo amazing in the scene where he meets Death at the table in that restaurant. So scared and insecured but on the other hand willing to do what ever it takes to get that ring. His facial expression and his mimic is one of his best actings ever. You know exactly what Dean thinks and feels in this whole scene.

And I really really love the beginning when he tells Sam how stupid he finds Sams plan for Lucifer. Such a cute little brothermoment.

Last but not least my beloved Sammy!!!
His talking to Dean in the beginning when he tells Dean that he thinks that he is to weak to take on Lucifer, too. But that he is their only options. It broke my heart and it broke even more when he said that he knew how screwed up he was and that he is the least of Bobby, Castiel and Dean and him. He has such a low selfopinion but is really trying to be a better man. Jared delivery of all his lines and the pauses he makes between them couldn´t have been any better. It shows what an awesome actor he has become over the years.
And Sam in the Warehouse scene was so in control the whole time and saved all of these people in such a great way – I was so proud of him.

My highlight came in the last five minutes. The conversation between Bobby and Dean about Sam. I can´t tell you how glad I am for what Bobby said about Sam. That sure he has a darkness in him but that he although has so much good stuff inside of him, too. I could have kissed him and hug him forever. When he was talking about Sams work in the Warehouse he was so proud of Sam. And I believe that I couldn´t have loved him more when he told Dean that they were (maybe) to hard on Sam lately.
Deans reaction and his “I know” melt my heart more then anything else. It was such a lovely statement and I wish that Sam could have heart it, too. And the last look from Dean was Jensen at his best again. There is no doubt in what he is scared of loosing the war or loosing his brother.
