Changing Channels
November 5th, 2009
The CW

The Trickster (guest star Richard Speight Jr.) throws Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) into an alternate universe where they are characters in different television series, including a sexy medical show, a Japanese game show, a forensics show and a sitcom. The brothers realize the only way to get out of this world is to play along and become the characters in the shows. However, Castiel (Misha Collins) appears and warns them this universe is dangerous and they must get out before they become trapped.

Charles Beeson directed the episode with teleplay by Jeremy Carver

What is it with the not-comedy funny eps? Are the writers trying to set a record this season? This is like, what, the 3rd one so far this early, and there's going to be more (ie The Con ep)? I'm not complaining because they've been great, but it's just odd in a way. You know?

I've got a feeling Jared will be just as funny as Jensen in this episode. I'm way too excited to see it!

I understand hon. As long as they still manage to fit the season mytharc that's fine with me.

I'm liking the comedy eps but I wouldnt' want the whole season to be this way

Ice breakers are needed but it should be equally distributed with the angsty, dramatic episodes, too.

OMG Funniest stuff ever. The opening credits had me rolling on the floor practically. I will come back and write an actual review when I have more time just wanted to comment on the credits
