The Curious Case of Dean Winchester
October 29, The CW

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover a witch (guest star Hal Ozsan) is running a high-stakes poker game where the currency is life years vs. money. Bobby (Jim Beaver) sees the game as a chance to get out of the wheelchair and bets 25 years, but loses. As Bobby begins to age rapidly, Dean steps in to save him but also ends up turning into an old man, leaving Sam holding the bag for their survival.

Robert Singer directed the episode with teleplay by Sera Gamble and story by Sera Gamble & Jenny Klein.

It's going to be very odd to see Dean being played by someone else, and not have it be a flashback.

I just wished they just had Jensen put on some make up and make him age than get another actor.

Yeah, and time equals money. I'm sure it was cheaper for them to hire Chad Everett, than to get an additional makeup artist who is exceptionally well-versed in old-age makeup to work on Jensen. And then there is the process of putting on and taking off makeup. People don't realize that the process of taking makeup off can be just as long or even longer than the application of it.
