I am in shock. I have just been on the imdb supernatural board and people are actually praising Jared. That is not the shock because he deserves all the praise he gets. The shock is that I have always found more Jensen fans on the SN board, so the fact that Jared is getting praised is really good, or perhaps my mission to get more Jared fans on that board is working.
I haven't seen this episode yet so can't comment on it, but they are saying that the last 10 minutes of the show were the best and who was on at the last two minutes Sam.

I haven't seen it yet, too Jules and I was reading the comments on the SPN Board and I was given hope.

The last ten minutes were def the best. The only part I really paid attention to, to be honest.

I believe I am in the minority here because I love this episode.

Here are my thoughts I had while I was watching this episode. I had written them down so you will get the uncensored version.

You idiot Dean! That can´t be your true opinion! Everybody besides of your stupid stubborn mind knows that you two are better together then apart. And as you said with the revenge part it although works for the apart part. Because it worked so well now and in the past. I love you Dean and I can see how tough this is for you - but you are completely out of your mind when you really think so!

That was his only reaction to Sam being Lucifers vessel? That wasn´t really a reaction at all. He took it - as if he couldn´t care less. So as if he thinks I knew that this would happen and when Sam becoming evil - no matter what - why should I even try to save him.

The first meeting with FutureDean was really goooood. But why is Dean so surprised that F-Dean wasn´t with Sam, when he told Sam 5 years ago that they are better of apart for good? Look what you made a poor decision!!!! I love the look when he heards that Sam is gone. It shows so much that he still cares (not that I really doubt him). YEAH!!!!!!!

"You don´t trust yourself? Absolute not!" That was so hilarious! But FutureDean must have know that simple handshells aren´t a problem for Dean. I love when he free himself from these things - everytime...smile.

When F-Dean tells Dean that Sam turn into Lucifer and beg him to say yes to Michael - I begged, too. But that he says yes to Sam so that he wouldn´t turn into Lucifer. F-Dean are you really that dumb that you doesn´t know why Sam said yes. I am pretty sure it had something to do with you turn your back on him. (It may not his only reason but I am sure it has a huge part on it.)

Jared was fantastic as Lucifer!!! Sam was 100% gone - excellent job!
And Jensen broke my heart with the single tear thing again. And this sad look when Lucifer tells him that he wins no matter what Dean does. I want to hug him...

I knew it! That when Dean sees what happens to Sam and himself after they separate - that he would come to his senses and reunite with Sammy! And Castiel pulled him out in the exact perfect timing. Other then that I like the phone scene and the scene where he says that he likes the past Dean better. But on the other side I must say that I hope that he doesn´t have so much screentime in the next one. (Although I like Mishas portray of him.)

And then came THE HIGHLIGHT: the end scene.
Dean apologize to Sam - now I can die in peace...
Dean was right that he was wrong and I am more then glad that he finally realise that they are all the have and that they keep each other human! And Sams "thank you" came from the botton of his heart. He couldn´t look him straight in the eyes and with Dean saying "I was wrong" and to call him "human" again - he lifted up a little of the weight of guilt from Sammys shoulders.

At the end to my general thoughts about this episode:
Jensen did such terrific job in that episode! I can´t put it into words how much I love him in this. His portray of both Dean´s was truly perfect. I have to admit that - even with me more of Sam side in general - I didn´t miss him as much as I had thought I would. Jensen was brillant (and so was Jared in the few minutes) and all emotion you could read on his face.
I know I was really hard with him at the beginning but he hurt me so deep with his behaviour to Sam. But as longer the episode run the more I saw how he change his mind and in the with Lucifer at the end I couldn´t help myself but to feel sorry for him again. And his apologize and the conversation after that at the very end was a huge step in the right direction for both brothers. I love him for this lovely gesture!

Maybe it doesn´t come out of this review - but I love this freaking episode and don´t want to have it any other way! It was a great emotional rollercoaster again.
And the few minutes with Jared were of course the best one!!! I know I said that I haven´t missed him most of the time but the chemistry between Jensen and him is undeniable the best thing about this show!

So wasn't really liking the episode all that much until the end. That last moment between the brothers totally made everything worth it. To hear Dean finally apologize made my day, I never thought that we would get to see that. And the look of relief on Sam's face when he was telling Dean thank you was amazing! You could tell how hurt he was by Dean's words that they were truly better off without each other and he was glad that Dean didn't really mean it. They both know that they do better work together and that they have just had some tough times this past year but they are still the best damn hunters ever and so what if they have a weakness for each other I think that its a strength and not a weakness.

I understand why Sam wasn't in the episode very much and the time he was in was awesome but I still hate that we didn't get to see Sam's side of the future. We are just left to wonder why he ended up saying yes to Lucifier. I mean we can assume it was because Dean abandoned him and he had no one but we don't know that for sure. how are they supposed to prevent it from happening again if they never got his side of the story. I would have really loved to see more of Sammy alone after Dean and what finally broke him down enough to say yes to Lucifer.

Overall the episode was worth it and Jared's acting was top notch espcially when he was Lucifer that man just blows me away

Let me begin with what I wrote on the SPN

Even though the writing is still 95% better than most stuff on here in the States. The producers and writers just need to ease up on using Dean a bit, give Sam a chance, and then approach Dean with new eyes. There is one thing I did love about Dean this week - He realized what a dick he was becoming. & he even said it! That was awesome!

This theme of 'Sam Needs A Babysitter' still continues! It's really irritating. Yes, even though Dean finally accepted Sam's apology, and I was really glad the boys were back together, that feeling was still there. Sam is a hell of a lot stronger than anyone gives him credit for, this goes for the writers and the fans, including me, one of the biggest Sam supporters out there. Yes, Sam still has extremely serious major problems, and it's going to take through the end is the show for him to even scratch the surface on those problems, but to underestimate Sam is just plain idiotic. When Sam said the 'R' word - redemption - as a fan it was as if I'd won the lottery. I'd been waiting for him to say that word for so long. This thing about not seeing why Sam said yes to Lucifer is really bothering me too. I mean really bothering me. And then with the resolution, the writers are making it seem like Sam saying yes had something to do with Dean. And that Dean going back and reuniting with Sam was going to fix this. I think this whole thing has absolutely nothing to do with Dean. This is about Sam and Lucifer, and no one else, except well, maybe John because he died with a hell of a lot of skeletons in his closet. But even then it's really only about Sam and Lucifer. Only Sam can fix this, not Dean. Sam is the only person who has the ability to save himself. No one else can do it, but him. In a way, I'm entranced with Sam being as much of an enigma as he's become on the show (even though I personally think I understand him greatly), because I like mysteries. However, certain aspects do need to be revealed, and the writers are holding back far too much.

OK, if Castiel became human, WTF happened to Jimmy? Was Jimmy dead now? Or was he still in there with Cas? Yet another mystery.

Onto production and acting -

Production again completely knocked it out of the park. They raise the bar and surpass it each week with what so little resources they have.

Jared - Every damn week, I say that he's brilliant and such or that my admiration grows for him. What he did this week brought it to a whole other level, in an almost frightening fashion. Yes, Jared was the first actor to make me cry, an extraordinary feat. But an actor truly reveals what they are made of if they can reach in and bring out a character that scares the hell out if me. And that is what Jared did this week. He scared the hell out if me. Not in an Oooo, this is so scary fashion, but on a deeper, cosmic level. It was almost scarier to witness his performance than Mark's, because of the way Jared made it so Lucifer was utilizing Sam's sympathetic attributes, yet not being like Sam whatsoever. Jared is just pure artistry.

Jensen - He is so radically different than Jared as an actor, and paints his performances with a completely different set of tools. And shows his brilliance in a completely different manner. I know I don't talk enough about him, or praise him every two seconds like I do Jared, but that's just because his fanbase is so large, and other people are doing it for me. However, I'm going to do it anyway. Jensen went so deep this week with future!Dean, it was beyond impressive, and he showed great subtlety too, which is something he hardly ever gets to do.

Misha - Yet another layer to his brilliance revealed. But does he need to be in every episode? Again, not a slight against Misha, just the writers being overzealous.

Overall, yet another awesome episode, even if the writers need to get up to the same level as the actors and production. But they are damn close.

Overall, I liked the episode. I didn't mind more Dean screen time (Jensen's pretty, what can I say?

). Though, I don't appreciate the POV this show is always showing.

Can Sam's story be told, please? That's my only request.

What made him say Yes to Lucifer? What happened to him when Dean said no. Let's get into Sam's mind please?

WTF?! Castiel. What's your purpose? Please tell me now or I'll probably side on Zach and the archangels and give them your cell phone number.

It's funny you said this because I had my first taste of a rabid Deangirl while I was reading the SPN thread on Fanforum. Everyone else was more or less praising both performances and she just thought Jenson was beyond brilliant and went on for a while. Then she proceeded to pretty much say that Sam was weak, had always been weak, would always be weak and, even though we have no idea why, the fact that he gave into Lucifer just proves how weak he is.

I was like, WTF? How is Sam weak and how does that prove it? I admit that I've read about some Deangirls but I stay away from those boards so I was kind of appalled.

But to answer your post, I know Sam is weak and so is Dean. Both of them are. They work well together. Come on, who saved Dean when he got trapped/tied up in Scarecrow? And even if Sam is possessed how would Dean go out alive in BUaBS... that's weak for me.

I mean, yes, I can understand why people would call Sam weak but they better accept that their ultimate hero is no better than Sam alone. It's Supernatural, not the Dean Show. Puhlease!
