James, I'm on the West Coast stuck at home with only my iPhone. Plus I Just got done rewatching WTLB and Lucifer Rising, the last two eps of last season to gear up for the premiere, instead of waiting for it to show up on YouTube.

10:06pm - Wow. That was incredible. Thank you cast & crew. Thank you for creating an episode that IMHO takes SPN to the next level.

11:35pm - I'm feeling the futility of being a Sam fan so much right now.

I need to see what happens next. Right now, I'm not liking the glossing over Sam's journey and reasons for doing what he did, however wrong, however right.

Sam was being stubborn, but there was WAYYYYY more to it than that. If they reduce everything Sam went through to "he chose Ruby over Dean," I'm not going to be happy. And when Dean sort of agreed with 'Bobby' about John being right about killing Sam, Dean didn't state the obvious which was that Sam was actually DEAD.

It was Dean who brought him back, and if Sam's good intentions are forgotten and are only seen as "arrogance," then Dean's good intentions in bringing Sam back and damning himself to hell (where he would break the first seal) should be attributed to his weakness and not the heartwarming "I had to save you" thing. The result is still the same.

This is why I hate when the show decides to make it sound like everything was so simple for Sam, but when it's Dean it's all so very complicated.

Goodness Dean, this is not against you, ILY, this is against the writers who refuse to keep a good balance between both storylines.

Having said all that, it was a good episode. It wasn't a great one for me. The editing was messy and I found the frantic pace confusing. I need to re-watch because I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff.

The Sam fangirl was fantastic! Good fun.

The return of that perky demon was awesome and I loved the actress, she really captured that special vibe.

I almost passed out when I thought Bobby was in danger. Just no, show. No!

Jared was sublime, you guys. I loved his quiet, depressed and guilty performance. It was so right. He felt so broken, so lost, so gone... Beautiful acting, and Jared looked beautiful doing it. My goodness he was pretty in this one!

Editing didn't bother me one bit, but it definitely wasn't for everyone, and while still great, was the weak link in post-production.

U know i always agree with U, esp. when it comes to Sammy. and i haven't watch the ep yet. i'll be deffo feel bad if that's the openning ep implying. gamn Sam is equal to Dean. no one is on top of the other. ( well totally not true if it's wincest ) ohh i did not say that. zipped!!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!
What a fantastic episode!!! Excellent way to start the new season. First episode and I already cried. Ifelt so sorry for Sam - he risked everything to save the world and in the end he lost everything. Dean thought that Lilith was the one who will break the final seal, too.
The final scene with Dean and Sam on the parking lot was so heartbreaking. I can understand why Dean has trust issues and I felt totally sorry for him that Sam let him down so much. And you can see that it is so hard for him to say these thing to Sam. His whole disappointment and hurt feelings are clearly written on his face. Beautiful acting from Jensen as always! But it is equally hard for Sam. He thought he would do the right thing and was ready to sacrifice himself and to give up everything that meant something to him. Even his brother to save the world. And now he has start the apocalypse and has lost the only person in this world who he loves and cares about (expect Bobby but you know what I mean).
Yeah I know that he is self guilty about that - but I feel sorry for him and my heart broke with him when Dean told him that he don´t know if you can trust him ever again.

Castiel first appearance totally rocked the screen! I was waiting from him to rescue these two in that scene and then it was so much better then I had hoped for.

And the beginning with the Sam fangirl was so funny!!! Almost as good as in the monster of the week episode!

Bobby possessed was more then scary and I was so glad when he fought that demon inside of him and could stabe himself (not that I was happy about that - but that he rescued Dean of course). And then when DemonBobby speaks with Sam and Sam can´t look him in the eyes because he is so ashamed and full of guilt it is fantastic acting from Jared and from Jimmy. And how much more I love him when he tells Sam at the end that it was the Demon speaking and not himself. That he could never throw him out of his life - it shows how much he cares about Sammy! It was a gesture of pure love - fatherlove!

I hate Zachariahs and I am really curious for whom Castiel is working so that even Zach was scared a little bit.

The thing with Dean being the sword for Michael - I don´t know what to think about it - for now I am not really liking the idea but maybe when time will go on I chance my mind.

After I watched it for the second time the scene with Dean and DemonBobby are talking - it is so sad that Dean doesn´t say a thing to defend Sammy. I can totally understand why he didn´t and he has every right to do so. But it was the first time he didn´t defend his brother and that makes me sad.

Don´t get me wrong - I am so glad that they don´t leave all this problems and trust issues behind them in one episode. I am ready for the ride to get them bonding again even if it means that I have to cry every episode. I don´t want it to be any other way. I am sure that the outcome will be worth it!


@Rockstar: I can total understand your feelings. I love Dean of course but I can´t help myself I will always be a Samgirl and it is so frustating that his yourney from last season is reduce to choose Ruby over Dean. Sam was struggling all the way through that the last season and he didn´t choose the easy way. He gave up everything to save the world and now they say he was arrogant - how was he selfish and arrogant by sacrificing himself and giving everything up for the greater good?

I'm right there with you all about Sam. its gonna be so hard being a Sammy girl this season because you're right Nikki they don't seem to like him very much. I hate that no matter what Sam does its never enough, and they make it seem like he knew exactly what he was doing and that it was so simple and easy for him when it wasn't. nobody knew that killing Lilith was the final seal they all thought that it would stop it. Sam was just doing what he thought was best, I mean if Dean had the opportunity to kill Lilith I'm sure he would have taken it. there was no way that they could have known that it would end the world and I don't really think that Sam should be blamed for that. It had nothing to do with him being blinded by Ruby, with or without Ruby he still wanted Lilith dead and he still would have gone after her and end up in the same place he is now.
I just want the brothers back like they were before but I don't think that it could ever happen now, not completely. There are way too many trust issues there and not just for Dean but for Sam too. They both spent all last year lying to each other and that just isn't gonna go away they are gonna really have to work on their relationship now.

I loved Bobby, it hurt me so much when he was telling Sam to lose his number, the hurt on Sam's face was horrible. Great acting by Jared and
Jimmy. Sam just stood looking all guilty and you could see how much he hated that he let Bobby down. So glad that it wasn't really Bobby saying it and that he made a point in the end that he would never say anything like that. Bobby is their family and I don't ever see him giving up on either of them no matter what happens.

Can't wait for next week great way to start the season!

I'm still overwhelmed. Even though I got everything that was going on, it's going to take me awhile to process it all before I can fully comment. I may even have to go back and watch it a few more times.
